I've never seen Jack Nicholson in a bad movie. (Sorry to say I can't say the same for Adam Sandler, but this isn't one of them.)
Nicholson wears his advancing years wisely, playing aging "characters" with great talent and sometimes a little scenery chewing. Sandler's character is the initally low key, innocent bystander sort of guy, swept up in a comedy of errors and forced to attend an anger management class, taught by Nicholson.
It seems the teacher is determined to provoke his student at every turn, and the poor dude just keeps getting sucked in further and further.
No spoilers here, but the dynamics between Nicholson and Sandler and among Sandler and the other "students" are often truly funny.
The movie ends a little lamely, but that's show biz. It's worth a watch, and I'll watch it again, I'm sure.
I bought the movie Anger Management because I wanted to see a movie that included comedy. This movie was very funny. Jack Nicholson is my favorite actor and his role with Adam Sandler was excellent. Good story line and good supporting actors.
Adam Sandler has anger - Jack Nicholson tries to help him deal with it. The movie is good but doesn't flow easily. Still it is fun and well acted.
As far as newer Adam movies go (anything post Happy Gilmore), I'd say this would be the second funniest after Click. We all know Adam for his anger issues in just about every character he plays, but this ones got the added twist of him doing everything he can to bottle it up, until he gets pushed too far. If nothing else you need to at least see the scene of Adam & Jack singing West Side Story's 'I Feel Pretty' XD
great movie, not for the PG age group, alot of adult content but worth the laugh. The movies is about a man who is being told he has a anger problem and is sent to get help from a doctor of therapy. This he does and he ends up getting angrier at everyone and anything.
I bought this mainly for my son b/c he's a major Adam Sandler nut, but I find myself sliding down next to him completely engrossed whenever it's on. It's as hilarious now each time I watch it as it was when it first came out. I think Sandler and cast did a fabulous job of capturing his/her character(s). I don't think it's feasible for it to actually happen in "real" life, but it's a nice take away from the obvious with a great ending.
Not many people like this movie, but I'd watch it just to see Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson sing 'I Feel Pretty'!
ANGER MANAGEMENT, is a hard movie to watch. There are a few funny parts but all in all the movie is slow.
Great Movie and story, great acting and interesting therapy for everyone. One of Adam sandlers best.
Adam Sandler, Jack Nicholson and Marisa Tomei
star in this 2003 comedy. An anger therapist
helps a businessman cure his behavior. Adam
and Jack are great together and this special
edition has nice picture and sound plus neat
extras. I recommend this good comedy.
