In this animated adventure from the mind of Tim Burton. 9 is a puppet made just before the world is destroyed by humans. 9 is the 9th in a series of puppets that were created, each one given a number by their creator. The others, 1,2 etc. have been out in the world struggling to stay alive without knowing their purpose. When 9 joins them he discovers their true destiny and unites the others toward their goal.
Voices include: Elijah Wood and Jennifer Connelly
This movie is great fun for the entire family, although it is a bit violent for young viewers, each parent will need to use their own judgement.
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Here's why: The characters were voiced by such well known and popular actors and this movie barely got any press at all. Good story-line and great animation. However, I don't recommend this movie for very small children, as there are several scenes showing dead humans/body parts..(due to the end of the world, and such). Note: My youngest (aged 5), didn't pay much attention to those parts.
Sophisticated animation, interesting story and Tim Burton connection. It is a good film story. The price was good and the shipping and handling was fairly priced, too.
Nice disc, great picture quality / overall an average movie though. There were some nice bonus features and the movie had great opportunities for success but it seemed to fall short more often then not. The available sound quality that Blue
ray offers is substantial but again it seemed the soundtrack fell short of expectations.
I read several reviews, however, I tried it out and watched it anyways. The movie was very entertaining, and the story was very good, even though I am sure we have all watched several post apocalyptic movies, 9 was different and new in many ways. Definitely worth the $10! =0)
I found this movie to be brilliant. I thought the storyline was fantastic. My hubby says it is kinda creepy. I loved the graphics, I loved the actors that did voice overs, and the movie freaking rocked. It is good for 10 yr olds for a family night. It is a movie that keeps you going. You have to watch the whole movie in order to totally get it. Simply a great movie. I highly recommend. I wouldn't show it to a 3 or 4 yr old but I could see 5+ seeing it.
I liked the movie overall, only reason I gave a 'good' rating instead of excellent is because I thought the ending was kind of lame. Otherwise worth the watch :)
This is a great movie for older children, say age 8 or 9 through age 12. It is a struggle for life type movie that also shows great humanity and depth of feeling.
I saw this movie in the theater and liked it, my son said he wanted to watch it again so I bought it. I like how it almost seems like it's based on the bible, and how the characters look different from other cartoons.
good entertainment better than district 9 whitch i thought was lousy i liked the story and animation in 9 and would recommend it to any one for good entertainment really kind of cute
