All you need is the 10 lb spring for the hammer and the 8 lb spring for the trigger. I wouldn't go any lighter because I'd be concerned about the possibility of light strikes. Since you have to tear the gun apart anyway to put the springs in, I went through my trigger, polished the parts lightly with 1000 grit emery cloth and Eezox (they wont let me post the link on the how-to web pages, but a search will find it easily enough) and sent away for the hammer shims. And changing the trigger and hammer springs to these Wolf parts, really does make the trigger pull much. much better.

my gun is a 22 sp101 made after 2012 therefore I could not use the springs I got from eBay. I had to reorder from Wolff and they were much cheaper direct from Wolff .

Purchased Wolff Trigger Spring Kit for my "Wiley Clapp" model Ruger SP101. Wiley Clapp comes slightly modified from production version, including Novak sights, tapered cylinder, wood grip inserts, and apparently slightly reduced trigger pull. As purchased, Wiley Clapp trigger pull was 11.5 pounds (production is advertised at 14 pounds). Installing only the 9 pound hammer spring brought trigger pull down to 10 pounds. In addition to the 9 pound hammer spring, installing the 8 pound trigger return spring brought the final trigger pull to 9 pounds. Very smooth, very nice. Many videos are available on line which show complete disassembly/reassembly, including spring change. Very easy. Have not yet gone to the range to test, but the feel is much improved and smooth as silk. Strongly recommend.Read full review

Ruger Sp101's and Gp100's all come with a fairly heavy double action trigger. They also tend to "stack" when cocking the hammer for single action shooting. Both will rob accuracy (and the joy of shooting) .This kit reduces the trigger pull weight but just as importantly smooths out the action some in the installation process. ( There are several good Youtube vids to walk you through the process.) Using the 8# trigger and 10# hammer spring (along with a little polishing), I was able to get a 3# single action and 9# double action pull. That's 35+% reduction over the way it came.

This is my 3rd Wolff kit that I have bought for Ruger my revolvers. Gives a Blackhawk a nice 3lb trigger. Makes a GP100 and my SP101 feel like a 1980's Colt Python.
