The fire box is very long, but bottom to top is very small. So what happens is a struggle to get three logs in there, one over two, without bumping the smart burn pipes on the ceiling. I have read other reviews of theses pipes falling off, and can see how that could happen. I sell firewood and everybody pretty much want 16"-18" inch logs, which means I have to special cut my own firewood and keep it separate if I want 24" inch logs. 24" inch logs are very efficient for this stove. My stove is still pretty new. One of the firebricks was chipped in shipping. That was disappointing. But overall, I am very happy with this wood burning unit. I'm burning 1/3 the amount of wood and the hot coals last forever. I didn't load it for over 24 hours and there were still enough hot coals to keep the fire going.Read full review
