The biggest trick in this book is the author tricking the buyer to purchase it. Thank goodness, I only paid $3.01 for it. Ty has apparently used this book to write off the purchase and subsequent improvements to his house. He makes light fixtures from plungers (calls it cool stuff). Some of the pages read on the horizontal and some on the vertical. Photographs abound...and most of them feature Ty's naked torso. Because this was written by a actor/carpenter and not a seasoned writer, it's a difficult read with some good but hard to find fix-it tips. My time is more valuable than this hunt and seek for Ty's tips...I'm sticking to my trusty HOME 1-2-3 from Home Depot.
Great book showing step by step instructions on how to fix minor problems, also give great ideas on simple room transformations that create dramatic effects. 5 big stars.
This is a very good book for getting the basics down for doing your own version of a home makeover and adding personal style.
