The book is not only fun to... read, and has some awsome clones but really comes through with a great knock off on the recipes I have tried. I made Weinersnitzels chili clone today and it wasn't perfect but I did use a different chili powder. It was darn close!! and one of the closest I have tasted trying to find a store brand. I have also tried a few others and though not perfect are soooo close you can't complain and it also gives you an idea to possibly perfect the exact taste. I tried the Olive Garden Penne Rustica a week ago and it was soooooo close and sooooooo good!! Never need to go there again for that craving. The books are enlightning and if not exact, will give you great flavors and an EGO boost as well as teaching you sublimanally how many things go together as far as spices go. Love the books and want to own them all!!
I've been watching this recope book sell on TV for a w...hile now and I'm too cheap to pay full price. I have been looking for over a year for a specific recipe and to my surpirise when this recipe book arrived, it had the exact recipe I had been looking for. It had several other recipes I can't wait to try. I will be buying another one as there are several different books available.
This is a great book to pur...chase if you want the taste of going out in the comfort of your own kitchen. The recipies that i have had so far out of this book are spot on. I still have a ways to go because it is packed with recipies from a big variety of restaurants. You really cant go wrong with this book, its easy to read and follow, and the finished product is just how you remembered.
A great book with eas...y to make recipes of all types. We have used the book a lot and have loaned it to our friends and neighbors to view and use. The people that used it were also impressed on how easy and simmple the recipies were and the flavor of the recipes. We keep it readily available in the kitchen and use it whenever the occation arises or when we have visitors tha we want to impress.
This book will add another 150 recip...es to your "clone" cookbook collection. I have 2 other of Todd's books and use them on a regular basis to whip up restaurant quality foods at home cookin' prices. We often make a few of these dishes to have when friends come over for dinner and they are/were impressed also. This pays for itself the first time you make a restaurant favorite that you love, at home for MUCH cheaper. Worth the price.
