Great fun for the cook who likes to mix it up and adapt recipes. I have already had a several of the recipes and it had gotten me to look at other recipes I like in a new way. If you have found a recipe that really works, this book encourages you to try it in new ways. Some are really simple and others a bit more complicated, but nothing out of this world complex. My only negative is that the book has no contents page to help you find what you want to look at. It is just divided into different sorts of foods. I love listening to The Splendid Table, and Sally Schneider is a regular. Have you tried popcorn with truffle oil? I don't have truffle oil, but I enjoyed some popcorn with olive oil and sea salt. YUM!
