This cookbook is a terrific addition to any kitchen. It's printed well and will provide many years of go to use. I think it would be a super gift for a "new" cook because of the educational aspects on cooking, product reviews and brand comparison's. Hands down this book also provides practical recipes that use easy to find products but best of all clear easy to follow directions. Cooks Country is a favorite of mine -- I cook appropriately five times a week for my family.
