Fun, interesting read
The book is great because it provides an entertaining inside look at the recording industry. It's fascinating to see what it really takes to get in to music, and to see how the record labels rip off their artists. Among the things I had never even thought about: the rampant bribery in the music system, the primacy of airplay, and how tough life can be on the road. The author is honest and very easy to read.
