I have both a Marlin 882 SS and a 917 V.. These are the exact match to the original mags, with the exception the original mag for the SS was stainless. These mags are a nice fit and finish, and I've never had a problem with feeding issues or anything like that. My 917 V is a blued rifle and came with this exact same painted mag.. I've had it for several yrs and put several mags of ammo through the gun.. Yes, the paint does wear, but if your concerned about corrosion or wear you can get the exact same mag in stainless.

product(s) (I bought 2) arrived in reasonable time and in apparently fine condition; no signs of wear or damage or corrosion. Comparison to original magazine appears identical except for the finish (black, vs the nickel one I have). But when I tried, and have repeatedly tried, to shoot with them, both of these magazines press the cartidges up in such a way that the lead cartridge is angled too steeply. The rim then sits just a little too low to be caught by the loading mechanism, which then pushes into the side of the casing. And the slug is angled up too high so that when the rim is caught and the cartidge is driven forward, it doesn't drive into the chamber, but is just jammed up behind it. The problem is simply solved by reaching in with my finger and pushing down on the front of the top cartidge to adjust the angle, but that's not how it should be. Again, apparently no deviation from the magazine I've been using for years, but having unloaded and reloaded these magazines multiple times and repeatedly tried (with fresh cartridges) chambering from them, this problem occurs more than half of the time, and often following a successful chambering of the previous cartridge. The same cartridge then smoothly chamber when loaded into my original magazine. Upon very close examination I am at a loss for what may be causing the problem, as these magazines do appear identical to mine in every way except the finish... same gauge steel and same apparent quality.Read full review

These are very nicely made magazines, and they fit my Marlin 917VS perfectly. I will buy more when needed, which could be soon. A person can never have enough backup magazines.

As shown, works great. Quality. The follower runs higher than the original, giving me tight feeds.
