After I got the hang of it, it worked great! It is a slow process and if your pole is just barely long enough, your arms start hurting and you have to take frequent breaks. So, I would recommend making sure that you have a pole that is plenty long. I found out that sticking the unmovable end in at a slanted and then sliding it a little before pulling the rope, helps you get a lot more. Then the process is faster. I had to go a second time to push the stuff under the section nails in order to get it all out. My gutters work great now!!

I was a bit skeptical when I ordered it, but I was amazed, at how well it really does pickup, leaves, and small branches, out of the gutter. It even tends to pick up those maple leaf seeds, when they are wet, and lying amongst the leaves. The only small problem I encountered, was holding it up in the gutter, as it takes a bit of getting used to it, but it operates very simple, just pull the rope to close it, and it lift the leaves out of the gutter. If you own a rambler (single story) house, you'll need to cut off, roughly, about 5 to 6 feet of rope, then take a candle or bbq starter lighter, and burn the poly rope, to seal it from fraying. Be sure to leave enough, to make a knotted loop, for pulling the jaws closed.
