Photographs are definitely top quality and pictorially show step-by-step instructions. You could follow the photos alone and do well in gutting & cutting. Book did not indicate any aging process, which I had to discover elsewhere (found info online, i.e. keep in refrigerator 35-40°F for 7 days worked well for my first home processing). Impressed with book layout where you don't have to worry about getting the pages wet & grimy while following page to page (just wiped pages clean with semi-wet towel). Would recommend book because of its practical use in the "field" and at home.
detailed pictures, step by step instructions, this was a great help with my first deer, can't wait to use this book again.

The book a good easy read that covers most all the beginners questions. I would recommend it to anyone starting out. If you have harvested and cut up more than a few deer then you may pick up a few pointers but will certainly have most of the process figured out. It was certainly written by people who know how it is done.
I bought this book to see what was involved in processing a deer. I wanted to have an idea before going out and shooting a deer. This book is so well layed out that it is real easy to follow. The book lays flat so you don't have to hold it open to each page as you read it. The picures are excellent, showing every aspect of the process in detail. There is also a CD included with the book. In closing I would say this book was much better then I expected and would highly recommend it.
