I bought this card for geocaching with my Dell Axim X50v PDA to replace my Holux GM-270 Ultra card for better accuracy. So far it has been able to consistently lock on 1 or 2 more satellites in almost all areas I have tested it, giving me a more accurate fix. It works well with all software's I have tried so far including iGuidance v8, Google Maps, GCzII, BasicGPS, RichesseGPS, and all sorts of other utilities, and comes with a CF-PCMCIA adapter which allows it to be used in a laptop which also works well with Microsoft Streets & Trips and Google Earth. It does seem to be a little more unstable (fixed position "bounces" more) in areas of heavy tree cover or in metro downtown areas with high concentrations of very tall buildings than the Holux card, but still is more accurate over-all. So far I have been very impressed with this card, it is more accurate than my previous one, works with all software I have tried, is easily configurable with third party tools, and is a little smaller than my previous Holux card. The only negative I have to say about this card is that it uses a different antenna connector than my Holux card, so I cannot use my external antenna, this not a fault with the card or a non-standard connector, I just didn't do my research well enough in advance. I would highly recommend this card for geocaching or general navigation.Read full review
This is a great little GPS receiver that uses the SiRFStarIII chipset. It works well in the Trimble Recon rugged PDA, also works well in my DELL laptop using the included PCMCIA adapter. The only thing I don't like about it is that I can't configure it using SiRFDemo and similar programs. It does come with GPS Information that allows you to turn on WAAS/EGNOS, but that's about all. Still, recommended as a solid GPS receiver, and since you can't configure it you also don't have to worry about the configuration getting messed up and the unit not working with your software.
The sirf technology provides fast acquisition and decent position for a handheld unit. Use it with averaging software for a tighter position. Works with my win-ce pda's and laptop computer. Fugawi and Ozi-explorer. This is the third one I bought and they all still function as expected. Twenty bucks US for this one delivered. No problems.

I have external bluetooth GPS receiver and HP iPAQ 210 PDA with Compact Flash slot. External GPS receiver is not comfortable for geocaching or footpath orientation. My old external bluetooth GPS receiver based on SiRFstar II chipset with average sensitivity. Globalsat BC-337 use of the SiRFstar III chipset. This chipset is Highly sensitive. I am very happy with the Globalsat BC-337.
Works well with Axim X5. Locks on to Sats quickly without using the external antenna. It's a bit of a battery hog. Bought for Geocaching with PDA. Performs well for shorter uses on battery power. Would work fine for on road use with power. Naver lost reception while sitting on the car seat after sat lock.
