It is quite bright on it's highest setting. T...he stated 320 metres throwing distance is a bit of an exaggeration I believe. That being said though I can easily walk along bush tracks and see reasonably clearly on it's second from lowest setting and very clearly on it's third from lowest, there's just no need to use full power most of the time in normal day to day use. I would recommend it. Amongst all the ridiculously exaggerated lumen output claims many sellers make, this IS genuinely about 2,000 lumens.

I'm a fan of Fenix lights and own severa...l from the small PD22 up to the TK35UE. The TK35UE is the highest output light I own, but don't let the output fool you. I have a couple of 500 and 1000 lumen lights that appear nearly as bright. The difference is, the TK35UE is a very "floody", meaning it doesn't focus all it's light on one small area, it spreads it out. This makes the TK an excellent choice for lighting up fairly large areas with a good amount of light. Of course, the lighted area depends on how far away you point the beam. This is a 2000 lumen light, and if you have it on the highest output setting, and put it at a light colored or reflective surface, you will be blinded by the light. It's very bright and not really usable in small spaces on the highest settings. Thankfully, there are 5 brightness levels and one will do the job perfectly. You can't go wrong with Fenix lights.

The brightest flashlight I've ever owned. Almost as bright as ...my spotlight on my boat. I wish it had a focus beam / wide beam option. It's a fixed beam only. I thought it had one but must have confused it with another model.
