This is the second guitar tuner I have. My first one decided one day not to work anymore, no battery change could put it back to operation. That was a "brand-X" so I decided to get a more renowned brand... and although my guitar is not a Fender, this one was welcome to my gear set. It's very sensitive an fast. No need to wham the string and it shows the value almost immediately. Just resting it on the speaker grid of my Yamaha keyboard is enough. Moreover you can set it for guitar, violin, ukelele and concert (chromatic) which is useful to tune any instrument.

When I'm in a quiet room, it will pick up the guitar and respond mostly as it should, though sometimes I had to play a harmonic to get it to respond. When on the job, I couldn't get it to register any of the notes I needed. In fact it was totally screwy giving me the wrong notes.

I've been using this model of tuner for years and have always been 100% happy with it. It's super easy to understand on the graphics, gets good battery life and is easy to see under all lighting conditions.

This is a marvelous tuner. it is small so it stays out of the way and the tuner swivels so that it can be seen from almost any angle. it is accurate and easy to use. the battery seems to last forever (I have had the same battery for well over a year).

I bought a lower end Fender, the CD-60 model, to start learning guitar. Figured I'd go inexpensive on the chromatic tuner since I already had a pitch pipe that worked fine, and I didn't know if I'd pursue the guitar further than decorating my room with it. I also reasoned that, if the inexpensive thing didn't work, I could always have fun giving it a crap rating and writing a rant for everyone to read. Turns out it is easy to use, works as designed, makes tuning a lot quicker and more accurate than with the pitch pipe (especially if your hearing isn't as good as it used to be) and for the money spent you really can't go wrong with it. Four stars and two opposable thumbs up.
