I purchase 6 of the shelves. Once built, I zip tied them all together and put them lengthwise in my garage. They look great and now my garage is very organized. They replaced the plastic ones that really couldn't hold everything I needed for storage.

So, this is fine for your garage. It's decent-ish quality - the chipboard wood is pretty cr*p - but it can be assembled without any tools. The main problem is that when we got it, some of the pieces were damaged. I called the number provided by the manufacturer as suggested by the manufacturer. No answer. Left a message. No call back. Rinse and repeat... In the end I just gave up. Because of the configuration we are using, we didn't need those pieces anyway, but the point still stands. The other thing is that it comes in two 36' high pieces. That was fine for us, but I have no idea how'd you stack in such a way as to make it a stable 6 foot shelving unit. There's no way to attach to the pieces on top of each other. So, don't think you're buying on tall shelf, you're buying two small ones.Read full review

No matter how good those other units look at 40 bucks they will not make it to your house unbent. These are solid . I put a couple of coats of polyurethane on the MDF sheets that fit into the frame to protect them from moisture or spills.

These are typical metal adjustable shelves and perform well for organization and clutter reduction. Cheap wood is durable enough, but will bow if load is not evenly dispersed. Only complaint is that these particular shelves do not include frame couplers. You utilize board rails to connect the upper half of shelving which means you lose some level of adjustability. These, to me, serve the purpose of garage organization (have 3 and will add a 4th soon), but not worth it if paying more than $55 shipped. There are better options for the higher price points.
