I'm one of those people who tend to research things to death ...before I make a purchase. I care about my equipment and hate buying junk. I've had quite a few camera bags over the years, and before I found this one, Crumpler was always my favorite. This bag is pretty awesome tho. There was only one thing that I would list as a negative, but there is an easy work around for it... The top most portion of the bag that you slide your camera with lens attached into is quite large, once you remove the elastic part that your lens slips thru. There's so much padding up there that you don't really need it. With that removed, I can put a full size Canon with battery grip and a 70-300mm lens into it and the cover zips right up no problem. (As a side note, you could also easily fit a mounted 70-200 with plenty of room to spare). The issue was that the cover itself has virtually no padding at all, and with the camera inside, the back lcd portion of the camera seemed relatively unprotected. However, they give you so many padded dividers for the interior of the bag, that I slid the 3 that were left over into the zippered compartment of the top cover and problem solved! The only other negative that I had read in another review is that the zippers for the laptop compartment are placed in such a way as to be under stress by the shoulder straps. I don't find this to be the case. My bag is quite heavy when fully loaded and I just don't see a problem there. In fact, this is one of the first bags I've had that I can honestly say if it fell to the ground from shoulder height, I would not worry at all about any of my equipment being damaged. If anything does ever happen to this bag (fire, theft, act of God...), I'll be buying this same model again.

This is a great well camera backpack. Its well padded ...and can hold a lot of gear. Right now I have my. Nikon D5300 with a Tokina 11-16mm wide lens (huge lens) I also have my 70-300mm and my 18-55mm a bunch of screw on filters and a whole P conkin filter holder and filter set. There is still a lot of room left. The only downside I've seen is the camera hammock/suspension system will not work with my tokina 11-16mm because its such a wide lens. All you have to do is in Velcro the camera hammock thing and its just like a regular camera holder.

It’s the perfect size to keep your camera protected. It is...n’t built to carry a whole lot however it’s secure enough to keep your camera safe and is well padded. It has side pockets which come in handy as well for small accessories.
