A huge contribution to the consistency required for accuracy. Way less expensive than the adjustable tripods, but easier to use, believe me, I've tried both. The rifle sits in it, not on it,and in combination with a rear bag, minute adjustments in elevation can be achieved. My enthusiasm is the result of my smallest groups ever.

I elected to buy this item unfilled to save postage. It arrived quickly and I filled it with 20# of cat litter. I used the whole 20 pound box but it is not yet filled. Looks like it needs another 5 pounds to appear as pictured. But this is not the problem, the dig was in sealing the fill holes. It uses twin velcro fasteners, one on each side. One side worked as it is supposed to, the other side came off in my hands. I have closed with safety pins.

I filled my tack driver with sand. Yes the bag is heavy. But the bag really does not form around the forearm of my AR-15. Brother used polypropylene pellets that he got from a friend. The poly is lighter and forms better than sand. Sand would probably be alright for heavy recoil guns. The polypropylene moves around inside the bag and will form to your gun. All in all it is a good rest. I'll try to find something other than sand. Maybe beads from a bean bag chair.

I had no issues filling in . just use right funnel . my only issue was , after being filled about 90% ( wanted leave some space open for adjustability ) one side material space is lot bigger . so doesn't look even . time will tell if it matters. have not used it . but material is strong , think it'll last if cared .

Keeps my Daystate Regal pretty much on target. Small forends on rifles are harder to hold on target with other types of front rests.
