I had one of these back in the mid-1990's in my 1981 Chevrolet Citation hatchback that would just about blow your ear drums out. Now with the new one in my 2001 Dodge Ram quad cab the sound is very good, but it's pretty tame. I know that the shape of the interior and placement of the tube can greatly affect the sound, and I don't remember the size of the amp that I was using back in the day so I could be comparing apples to oranges. I tried looking for a vintage one here on Ebay, but they don't seem to come up for auction very often so I went with the new one. If I remember right, this new one I bought was probably about half the price of what I paid for the one I bought back in the 1990's Adequate bass for the money, and you don't need to take up a lot of space, and you don't need a huge amp. Also fast and easy to take out if you need the room.Read full review
I would like to take the time to say that the other guy above this rating had a Citation back in the day. Then got a full size 4 door truck and the bazooka does hit as hard. Sorry to inform you but I think the cabin space you are playing in is substantially larger than that compact car. Of course it will not be as loud! You prob have to purchase the 12 inch to get a hit. Better yet, get two! I had bazookas in the 80s, still buy them now!! 😉

Been loving 10inch Bazookas for over 25 years. By far the most deep bass you can get from such a compact package.

The perfect addition to a mediocre factory audio system!
