I bought this book because I have a basic facination with the McCourt family after reading Frank McCourt's books. This book is interesting, but it drags when the author tries a little too hard to be funny and charming. Sometimes you just want him to tell the story and quit trying to be so clever. I found it annoying. I also didn't root for him like I did for Frank because I found his morals to be less than charming. All in all, its an interesting book and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys "tell all" autobiographies. If you're easily offended, you might want to think twice.
I've read this previously and realy enjoyed it. I bought it as a gift for a friend.
