A true guitar player's all effect in an old school way. The wah is a true vox wah. The best way to be rid of
Multiple stomp boxes.

Built like a tank. Easy to use. Can personalize. Some tube- like sounds
"Rock" solid. Pun intended! It is a tank. I bought Vox because of this. I have not had a chance to set my own settings. Also, it is not that intuitive to me what I need to do. But, I did print off the book that goes with it. It is written by a regular guy and he walks us through it. So, just a little time and reading and it should be up and running. A lot of the settings are useless. But, that is how these companies all put out product these days. Ever scrolled through organ or keyboard settings? Yep. That's what I mean. But there are some good starting points and a few that are pretty good as is. It is also nice to have all
the different amp and cab possibilities. It is very possible to just set your amp at Vox, add an effect and play. Tweaking and personalizing can come later. It sounds really good through headphones. I have not hooked it up to my Vox 4x12, or a 212 yet,nor the p.a. for that matter. But, I am sure it will sound great.
I have tried Digitech and some others. I don't think they measure up. This one has a real tube in it. Most others don't.Read full review

PURE TUBE TONE
I had been holding off getting myself a pedalboard, I took a look at several, but all to me had that stale digital sound, and I was looking for something that had a sound close to my analog effect pedals, I was about to buy The newest version of the VOX Tonelab series but seen the SE in demos on YOUTUBE and was impressed by its tone and it has more options than the later versions. When I first pluged it in it would say it takes sometime to get use to all the features, you really got to use it and mess around before you could be able to use it live, but once you got that down it has the tone I was looking for and combined with my Marshall JCM 800 50watt 2x12 combo or my Fender Blues Jr. RED October 15 watt amp this pedalboard is hard to beat.

Real tube amp tone and feel
Even though this is an older model, it is the best sounding unit made. It sounds and reacts like a tube amp! If you take the time to build your patches, you can do almost anything with it. It sounds great through a PA and killer through an amp. Especially a tube amp. I run mine through two 18 watt tube amps(stereo) for stage volume and run direct through the PA for the house. Killer tone! Big sound. Down side, Buttons on circut board wear out, hard to see display in sunlight, a delay when switching between A and B channels
