A Tale of Yesteryear
Based on George W. Trendle's original character, The Lone Ranger is a classic western. Our hero on his valiant steed Silver rides to the rescue yet again. With his faithful companion Tonto, he battles prejudeous and greed. As in many stories hate is often used to cover the tracks of villians motivated by personal gain. It is also pointed out the villains best acomplice is ignorance. Basic respect for all human beings can solves many of these problems. In the end the truth and each other is what we need to defeat those who would take what they want, and destroy all else.
Some may say the approach was simplistic, and they'd be right, but for the wrong reason. Entertainment at the time of this production was simplistic. That does not mean the writers were looking down on the audience or not taking the subject seriously. They just didn't bang people over the head or feel the need to drape anything in multible layers. In the end the message is clear and justice is served.Read full review

Even if you are not a Lone Ranger fan, this is simply a great action western. The quality of the colors/dvd are good, the story is well told and acted. It will be a totaly pleasant for anyone who will invest the pittance they are aasking for it and the time it takes to watch. Much like eating at Granny's house, What else is so nice for the price?

The first full length feature brings back fond memories
I was eight years old at the premier of this movie in my home town and met the Ranger (Mr. Moore) on stage, receiving a "silver bullet" as did several other lucky kids. I'm also a big fan of Bonita Granville (the original Nancy Drew) and she co-starred and co-produced this production. The movie is good and has become a treasure of my movie collection.
