Characters are engaging and totally believable
I'm a big fan of Colin Firth, and with him paired together with Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham-Carter is almost as if you are witnessing the actual events surrounding the abdication of the throne by his brother, and the subsequent crowning of King George VI (Colin)
Watched this immediately after receiving. Will definitely put this in my "watch again" folder!

The King's Sppech will render you speechless!
The King's Speech is a must-see movie! Colin Firth and Gregory Rush are at their very best. The friendship that develops between two unlikely men - a member of the English royalty and a self-made speech therapist commoner - is full of tension, pathos, barbs, strength, and courage. Follow one man's journey to meet his destiny with the support of a loving wife and children and the help and respect of a true mentor. You will watch this movie over and over!

The Kings Speech - A perfect historical drama!
Brilliant performances are the centerpiece of this historical drama. Colin Firth's understated portrayal of King George VI battling his speech problem and the torment of being trapped in a very public persona is masterful. Geoffrey Rush (who you will remember as Barbosa in Pirates of the Caribbean)also gives an indelible performance as Lionel Logue, the unconventional speech therapist who draws the king out of his shell. Add Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Gambon, Claire Bloom, and Guy Pearce and you know why this film is a Best Picture winner. Sit back and enjoy!

You must have this in your collection.
Absolutely, one of the best movies ever made. This movie brings to the screen the "Power of Persistance and Determination". The acting is engrossing. I was captivated by both Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush. This movie deserves all the awards it has won or will win.
