There is no comparison on a great study KJV Study Bible. I bought this 400th Thomas Nelson KJV Study Bible because this was like my 1st study Bible and it wore out so I wanted another and then I bought 2 more besides mine for gifts also. I hope you are as blessed with yours as I have always been with mine and I continue to be.
Thanks and God Bless, M.Wester

A beautiful bible, money well spent!
I bought this Bible because it was a study bible and it had information that I was interested in seeing. It is a beautiful leather covered bible and notes are made available with the scripture. It has book outlines before each book, so you have an overview of each book prior to study. It gives explanations throughout of the meanings of certain phrases. Remembering that only God's words are infallible, the notes give us one explanation, which gives us and opportunity to accept or reject the reasoning if it is not sound. A study bible gives the opportunity examine God's word, but we should always following the leadings of the Holy Ghost, which is our true teacher. It is an all around good example of a study bible.

great item!!! Very high quality, this is my first purchase of a study bible and it has more information than i was expecting. The leather cover is high quality. This bible was the best way to study the king james bible which at times can be difficult to understand but it gives great detail and definitions. Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this bible to anyone who wants to gain more insight and understanding of God's Word and Message to all of his children. God Bless and have a wonderful day.

It is a great King James study Bible. I highly recommend it.
The King James Study Bible, by Thomas Nelson Publishers, is truly a fundamental Christian Bible, with Baptist doctrines. It is also known as the Liberty Annotated Study Bible, which was the product of the faculty of Liberty University, founded in 1971 by Dr Jerry Falwell.
All editions of this Bible have the following information printed on one of the first several pages: “The King James Study Bible (previously published as The Liberty Annotated Study Bible and as the Annotated Study Bible, King James Version) Copyright 1988 by Liberty University”
Anyone, who has several different KJV study Bibles, will have a favorite they like to use on a regular basis. I prefer the King James Study Bible above all others I own. The notes are filled with useful information. It has sufficient chain references, informative helps, and decent concordance. The text is clear and easy to read. It is a Red Letter Bible. It does not have wide margins for notes.
I was able to compare the King James Study Bible: 400th Anniversary Edition, to the standard edition of the King James Study Bible, by Thomas Nelson Publishers, because I own two of the genuine leather, standard edition, King James Study Bibles, one thumb indexed, the other not. I also own one smaller version in bonded leather. These Bibles have the same number of pages, with all Scriptural text and notes on the same respective pages, though the maps at the rear of the Bibles, do differ from each other.
The 400th Anniversary Edition I bought was printed in China. My thumb indexed standard edition was printed in Columbia, while the other was printed in the United States.
The King James Version: 400th Anniversary Edition comes in a dark brown genuine leather, with raised hubs on its spine. The inner cover of the binding has an attractive gold design that runs along the border of the leather, where it meets a shiny dark brown material, that gives it a rich finished look. The corners of the 400th Anniversary Edition pages, while rounded, as they ought to be, have a noticeably smaller radius than the standard edition. All well made leather Bibles have these rounded corners to help prevent the inadvertent folding of the pages.
I used a micrometer to measure the thickness of the leather on these Bibles. The leather on the standard editions is .055” to .058” thick. The 400th Anniversary Edition is .110” to .111” thick, so the leather on it is approximately twice as thick. The paper in the 400th Anniversary Edition does not feel thicker than the paper used in the standard edition, but I did notice that larger, darker text on a preceding page does not bleed through as noticeably as they do in the standard edition. The 400th Anniversary Edition also has two ribbon page markers, instead of one, as in the standard edition. Both have a Presentation Page. The standard edition also has several stiff, blank pages in both the front and back. These blank pages were omitted from the 400th Anniversary Edition.
While any edition of the King James Study Bible, by Thomas Nelson Publishers, would make an excellent gift. The 400th Anniversary Edition is more luxurious. It exudes pure quality. The prices on these Bibles do vary considerably. I bought mine for $43.41, with free shipping, although they can go much higher.
The 400th Anniversary Edition also comes with a 24-page full-color historical booklet. To be honest, if I lost that little booklet, I wouldn't miss it in the least.Read full review
