Fast service, book excellent quality.
Very informative--good service--high quality. I would definitely purchase from this vendor again. I bought this book because I got a serger for Christmas. It was excellent in explaining the benefits and qualities of serging. It was easy to understand with lots of colorful pictures.

Very helpful book!
Like many others, I bought a serger, but was intimidated by it. I searched online for help and saw reviews on this book as being very helpful and it is. It takes a lot of the fear out of serging by helping me understand what stitches to use for different seams and helping me to get to know my serger. Thanks for this book. I will join the group of people who recommend this to anyone who needs some help getting familiar with serging.

The most necessary item to help us besides the serger itself-a super value
What a great book. In fact it is so great that I have sent one to my sister and will be ordering another for a friend. It explains the whole process, gives new and interesting ideas that I had not thought of and the pictures are fantastic. I bought this because I was so confused by the other books and this is so easy to understand. It starts at the beginning and goes into forever. One of the things I enjoyed is the fact that the way Chris writes is so personal it is like we are sitting at the table talking to one another over coffee. When I found my sister had taken her serger out of the box looked at it and put it back on the shelf for the past 20 years I knew that she needed a copy as well. I have been telling her I am finally learning how to use mine as well (it too is over 20 years old) I only wish I had found this book first and saved all the money I have spent on the other books and videos. If you need help don't hesitate to get a copy and read it. In fact I found my husband reading it the other day and he said this was so easy he thinks he could operate the serger himself and he has always been nervous about operating sewing machines. So that is a great compliment to the author.Read full review

Love this book - Have a better understanding of serging because of it!
I am self-learning to use my serger. This book is a great read. You will get a lot out of this book no matter what brand serger you have. I like to sew and the book explains when it is more appropriate to use a serger versus a sewing machine. I hnow have a better understanding of the types of serger stitches and tension adjustments after reading this book. This book is a great reference tool and I find myself referencing back to it when I am working on a project....I am still a novice.

I recently purchased a serger and the manual that came with it gave very little information about clothing construction, thread types and the use of the serger itself.
I purchased this book and it is wonderfully written, good color photo's and lot's of simple, easy to understand, but good information that I needed since this is the first time I've used a serger.
Would I recommend this book? Absolutely, I would. It's great for us beginners as well as the more advanced people.
