Ozzie and Harriet- 20 episode DVD set
Ozzie and Harriet, along with sons Eric (Rickie) and David, gave American TV it's longest-running, live-action sitcom (14 years). While deemed a bit too sugary by some- it is still cherished by many- decades later. Like the citizens of Mayberry RFD, the Nelsons are idylic middle America from a bygone (but whistfully recalled) era. These twenty episodes are refreshingly lighthearted and are a pure escape from 2007 worries. Rock 'N Roll Hall of Famer Rickie Nelson sang in many episodes, though presumably omitted here to escape royalities. The series had what has been called the world's first music videos (then film).

Obviously, with such a long run, the series eventually developed from preteen sons to collegian sons. This DVD, however, has episodes from the 1960s, when Rick and Dave were pretty much on their own.

The DVD price here was right and the service was quick and attentive.Read full review

Remember Ozzie and Harriet ??
Somethings I buy are associated with memories. I remember watching Ozzie and Harriet with my family when I was young. I enjoyed the show then as I do now. I wish they still made shows like this but I realize times change and it seems like sex and violence sells a lot of shows today. I can still enjoy my type of programming when I'm in the mood. Maybe I can move to Mayberry, move over Andy & Barney.
