In 1990, four episodes of Swamp Thing, labeled The New Adventures of Swamp Thing, were released on VHS in England. This includes "Birth Marks," "The Watchers," "Tremors of the Heart," and "Walk a Mile in My Shoots."
On January 22, 2008, Shout! Factory released Swamp Thing - The Series. This 4-disc DVD set contains all 22 episodes of the first two seasons in their proper chronological order. Volume Two was released July 15, 2008 and contains the first 25 episodes of the third season. However, this collection organizes the episodes by original air date. Cast members reunited to film extras for the DVDs, and Durock embarked on a tour of fan conventions to promote the new releases.
On May 26, 2010, Shout Factory announced Volume 3, which would contain the last episodes of the series, would be released on June 22 exclusively from the Shout Factory website.
On July 14, 2009 a DVD collection titled Swamp Thing: Eight Favorite Episodes was released by Mill Creek Entertainment (under license by Shout! Factory) containing eight selected episodes.
Another single disc DVD compilation titled Swamp Thing: The Legend Continues was released on September 28, 2010 by Shout! Factory, containing seven selected episodes. Episodes in this DVD were: "Night Of The Dying", "Love Lost", "Mist Demeanor", "A Nightmare On Jackson Street", "Better Angels", "Children Of The Fool", and "A Jury Of His Fears".Read full review

Even better than I remember
I love this show. Being a major Swamp Thing fan, I have a fondness for anything related to the muck-encrusted mockery of a man. And this TV show was very entertaining when I was younger. Now that it's finally on DVD... with about 26 episodes or so left to come, I was glad to find that I like it even better now that I get the sense of humor behind it. Every episode is a self-contained story, each one concentrating on one or more of the main charaters. To focus every episode on Swamp Thing would've made the show redundant, ensembles are much better to watch on a television show because you don't feel like the writers are simply rehashing the same plot week after week.
One thing that most fans of this show seem to agree on is how much they hate the episode "Smoke and Mirrors"--- I'm happy to say that I disagree. This one is a little preachy, but I didn't find it to be as heavyhanded as some fans state. But the episode "A Jury of His Fears", considered by most fans to be the best of the entire series, does earn that reputation. The actor playing Dr. Arcane (Mark Lindsay Chapman) is very witty yet cold-hearted in a way that is hard to describe. There is one line late in the episode that has be heard to appreciate to the comic timing of this versatile actor.
This show has an almost corny feel to it; however, it also has some wicked humor hidden deep in its snappy dialogue.
If anyone is a fan of this show... by all means buy this DVD. You'll be entertained--- there truly is something for everyone in this cult favorite series.Read full review

Swamp Thing - The Series Volume 2 (2008, DVD)
I am a big swamp thing fan since childhood. This series like the first is along the lines of a 70's DC comic but I must say the story lines are a bit better than volume 1. good late night viewing for someone without cable TV.
