About this product
- Product InformationThe second Street Fighter game on the Dreamcast features new characters, a System Direction mode, and a Grade Judge System in addition to the requisite gameplay tweaks and improved character animations. Twelve, Q, Remy and Necro are but a few of the new pugilists entering the fray. Series' veteran Chun-Li makes a return as well.
Arcade, Versus, and Training modes make up the game's primary options, allowing gamers to compete against the computer, a friend, or brush up on their fighting skills, respectively. After selecting a character, one of three Super Arts -- a powerful special move -- must be chosen. Super Art moves can be performed only when the Super Art Gauge is full

IGN voted Best Fighter on Dreamcast, Rated by most as the Greatest Ever
Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, is probably one of my least favorite in terms of the roster. The game only features a handful of orginal characters from the series, BUTTTTTTTTT this game is still the BEST street fighter to come around. The game play, the music, and even the new characters, everything is just simply PERFECT about this game. 3rd Strike is a revamped version of street fighter 3: Impact (basically the super version of street fighter 2 compared to street fighter 2 turbo). It contains 4 new charcters(including Chun-Li) bring the roster to a small 19. If you have a sega dreamcast and like fighters or street fighter, YOU NEED THIS GAME. Please remember though, for both this game and any other Fighter on the Dreamcast the controller is terrible for these games. You will NEED to purchase either a fghting stick, an ASCII FP, or a total control 3 adapter which allows you to use a sega saturn or ps2 controller on your dreamcast in order to maximize your ability on these games.Read full review

Capcom classic 2d fighter with Animation that is fluid and fast.
This gem is a classic release on the Dreamcast, still has beautiful graphics that hold up very well today, lots of characters to learn from, and the soundtrack is amazing and fits the game well. Probably in my own opinion the hardest of the Street Fighter games (vs cpu) that I have played. It takes time but learning to Parry will help alot to defend against combo attacks.
A gem to own, if you are a serious game collector, this deserves to be in your library!

Its Street Fighter 3, what else is there to say?
this game i have fond memories of on the Original Xbox. then i got into collecting video games, so naturally when i found this game i bought it. now its street fighter so i won't go into what its about. pick your fighter, and off you go. now Alpha 3 is very different from this game, as this game has parry moves, and take a while to master (i'm still learning). the pacing of this game is very smooth and fast. a definite title to have in your DC library.

Great Game, worth the money!
If you are the kind of guy that loves Street Fighter and you are really good at it. Then this is the game for you! I bought this because I simply wanted to see what the hype was all about with this game. I like the fact that they keep a few characters from the other street fighter games, like Ryu, Ken, Akuma, and Chun-Li. There are also new Editions such as the mysterious Q. The Dark Remy, Chinese Brothers Yun and Yang, and many more. What I dislike is that the computers will be able to instantly read your moves when it seems like they're guessing on what you're going to do. But I enjoy the solid soundtrack that's in this game a lot. It's cool that they have an Arcade Mode to do as well. Overall, I give this game a 9 out of 10

Excellent game, one of the best in the series.
Although it does away with some of the lightning-fast speed and glitzy flash of some of the other Street Fighter titles, Street Fighter III: Third Strike will always be my favorite. With excellent character design for the mostly-fresh roster of characters and careful tactics needed t succeed, it holds my attention much longer than most fighting games. The Dreamcast port is very nice, with fluid character animation and little slowdown. It's the closest you can get to having the arcade version in your house.
