Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha (Sony PlayStation 1, 1997)
About this product
|Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha takes the long-standing series into the third dimension with eight original Street Fighter combatants and 12 new fighters making their debut (a total of 23, including hidden characters). Among the veteran staples are Chun-Li, the multi-limbed Dhalsim, Ryu, and the all-American Guile; newcomers include an experienced Shadowloo guard named Crackerjack, the enigmatic Skullomania, and an amnesia-stricken Kairi. As always, each character comes with unique special attacks and combinations.|
There are seven gameplay options including the "Arcade," "Team Battle," "Survival," "Watch," "Versus," "Time Attack," and "Practice" modes. "Practice" comes with two different modes -- "Training" and "Expert"; "Training" familiarizes you with basic and special attacks and Super Combos, whereas the "Expert" mode features a chart listing all the basic characters. The objective is to execute each fighter's special moves, combos, and Super Combos.
The "Arcade" mode is a single-player romp through a series of fights using your favorite characters. Each character has a reason for entering the tournament; by overcoming all obstacles and opponents, that fighter's conflict will be resolved at the end of the game. "Team Battle" features two teams (a human and computer-AI opponent) of five combatants in a heated elimination battle. "Survival" is a one-player rumble against an infinite supply of computer-controlled fighters, where your objective is to eliminate as many fighters before the health meter is depleted.
For those who would rather watch two fighters beat each other up, the "Watch" mode is a cinematic feature that allows you to adjust camera angles and create your own "movie." The "Time Attack" features three different courses (A, B, and C) that will test your ability to conquer foes in a designated timeframe. Finally, the "Versus" mode pits you and another human player in a head-to-head battle for bragging rights.

The first Street Fighter in 3D and the best to date.
Basically when this game came out a lot of people was very skeptical about it. The were all wrong this was a great game to open up the 3D animation for Street Fighter. Now I have play the newer versions and they don't compare to this original style. The only bad thing about this game is that the characters jump to high, but overall is pretty accurate in comparison to the 2D version, the moves a simple and the style is that of the newer Street Fighter games out in the market. I owned the Alpha 3 and got rid of it becuase I never played it but this own I kept for like 3 years, this version is the best.

I like everythig about this game, the way you can play, the characters are awesome I've play this game since i was a little kid now I'm 21 and I still like it, I like it even more, graphics are not that good but they're good enough for me, I like old games like this one not like the new street fighter for PS3 that is one so bored and ugly game i won't get it even for free I just hate the New Street Fighter For PS3!
