Steel Diver (Nintendo 3DS, 2011)
About this product
|Steel Diver sends 3D gameplay under water as players take control of three different submarines and explore the briny depths, avoiding mines, battling enemy ships, and fending off giant sea creatures. The action is controlled via the 3DS's touch screen and internal gyroscope, but each vessel offers a different set of controls that gamers must master, and three different game modes help keep the action fresh. "Missions" mode is a fast-paced shooter that requires players to control their ship's speed, depth, and pitch while they travel through branching underwater pathways, fire torpedoes at enemies, and use the stylus and touch screen to fix any leaks that arise. "Periscope Strike" uses the gyroscope to let players effectively take on the role of a periscope, rotating left and right to find enemies and fire torpedoes. And multiplayer fans can join a friend for "Steel Commander," a top-down, turn-based strategy game in which two local gamers move submarine fleets around the map in search of enemy ships.|

hours of play
good game that reminds me a bit of battleship as a kid, but is new enough for sure to keep my son engaged for hours.

Steel diver a 3ds game
One of the best games I have ever played. I caught living spiders and let them bite me. I am so swollen and puffy. It's the best way I played this amazing game. The dialog and graphics let the mummy catch a clue to the sphinxes riddles. I recommend this for the best thing ever to come out for the 3ds.

Fun game for the price... can't go wrong for 5.00.
Cool graphics... good game play for a 2011 game. Great play for 5 bucks... Good 3D effects. I wish you could use buttons but still fun.

Great Game for Younger Kids !
Our kids,(tweens) are enjoying this pre-quel to 'SubWars' very much.
I think 8-10 yr olds would appreciate it more, tho.
Overall, we like it and are happy we bought it.

For the hard-to-please pre-teen! Success, he loves it!
Just spoke to my nephew today. He absolutely is absorbed into this game. He tells me that the special effects are as fun as the actual game. This is his first 3-D Nintendo and apparently we picked a good game for his birthday, Steel Diver! He has another 3-D game or two, but says that in some ways they look like the old games without 3-D. This one is "awesome".
