About this product
|Sparkster is a sword-swinging, jet-pack wearing opossum with an attitude. Ever since King Gedol and his lizard army invaded the planet, life hasn't been very pleasant for the Rocket Knight. If that weren't enough, rumor has it that former Knight Axel Gear is aiming to cut Sparkster down to size. That's almost too much for a marsupial to take! Guide the opossum hero through eight action packed stages in this sequel to Rocket Knight Adventures. The game is filled with traps, power-ups, and enormous boss characters that fill the screen--so it's a good thing Sparkster has a few moves under his fur. He can slash with a sword, spin attack, fight in mid-air, and blast high into the sky to reach new areas.|

good game. no reason to be so expensive
rockin' an opossum stabbing pigs saving Princess Flora .. fine game .. it's just pretty expensive. I liked the first one better for some reason anyway.

Sparkster, neglected icon.
I found out about this game a while back, after I'd sold off my sega genesis to a family member. A lot of people say it's the worst in the series and I can't comment on that since I've yet to play the other two. It's got a unique spin to the platformers I'm used to in that the jetpack really allows for the character to be extremely mobile without being overpowered. The enemies thought a little bland at times and probably a tad too easy to kill are made up for by the imaginative bosses. This is a hard game for newcomers but it has the charm of being easy when you actually know what to do. It's a fun if relatively short sit down though for any game without saves being short is a blessing. It's a good though not perfect title and I would suggest any of you out there that enjoy platformers like Sonic The Hedgehog give it a try!Read full review
