A used item but in excellent condition.
Just what I was looking for. Although it is no longer in production it does a good job for transferring old tapes to DVD.

Expensive for no image stabilizer and bad focus ok batt
This is a pricey camcorder. Definitely not worth the price. It has a lot of features, but is difficult to use them. The camera DOES NOT have image stabilization, so every shot is all shakey and the autofocus at night works horribly. The only good things about this unit are the battery life, and the cosmetic appearance. That's all. I would not recommend buying this unit.

The strong and dependable Sony CCD-TRV58 camcorder
I purchsed my first Sony CCD-TRV58 Camcorder in May 2001.
The Sony CCD-TRV58 is dependable and has excellent video and sound quality.
I would strongly recommend the Sony CCD-TRV58 as my originally purchased Sony CCD-TRV58 is still going strong.

I am very pleased with the purchase of my Sony Handycam
I owned a Sony Handycam in the past and enjoyed it then and knew just what type of camcorder to look for when I wanted to purchase another. The night vision is very handy and the functions are perfect for what I need. I highly recommend this camcorder to anyone.
