About this product
|Konami's celebrated survival horror series known for its surreal atmosphere and supernatural enemies makes its debut appearance on the Xbox 360 in Silent Hill: Homecoming. Players assume the role of Alex Shepherd, a soldier recently discharged from a military hospital who returns to his home town only to find his brother and father missing, and his mother catatonic. The story takes players from Shepherd's deserted hometown, where citizens go missing every day and strange creatures have begun to roam the vacant streets, all the way to the notoriously fog-laden city of Silent Hill on a quest to save his loved ones.|
As in previous games in the series, the streets and buildings of Silent Hill are filled with bizarre and aggressive creatures, but unlike the civilian protagonists in those games, Shepherd actually has military training and is thus quite handy with both firearms and close-quarters combat. The action is frequently interrupted by puzzles of varying difficulty that often require graphic-adventure-style exploration and discovery. Players are given a journal to help keep track of any written and visual clues they may encounter during these sojourns, a feature designed to help gamers make sense of Silent Hill's trademark transitions between the real world and its darker alternate dimensions.

The game is repetitive but still fun.
I love this game. It does get kind of boring after you have beaten it the first time. And also there isn't much to explore after the first or second run through. But this game does give a new outlook and a new person view from all of the other Silent Hill games. Other than that, I would recommend it to a horror fan. I just wish I could have a Pyramid Head Avatar.

Silent hill homecoming is creepy cool
Silent hill homecoming by far is not the worst silent hill. There are a lot of great things about it and some that are bad. But all in all for a silent hill fan it is a must have.

Save a lot money, so I can pay cheap and no problem!
It is great, I really like to feel freak out and jumped from surprise scene, so some puzzles that I struggle and little frustrated. SO It is pretty good, I noticed many different endings so we have to over again many times. I like it, Silent Hill is my first time to play game, so I might buy Silent Hill Downpour if I afford it. To see and compare how different between 2 games. I love that game, so the bosses is difficult to beat but interest story.

If you like the first 3 SH games, you will like this one. Buy it.
Good game so far, true to silent hill series. Only drawback is, monsters are somewhat easy to kill at first, you just have to keep hitting buttons but as the game progresses, levels and monsters get waaay harder and the button mashing method will not work. Second drawback is, game has no real exploration. Once you get into an area, there is only one way to go. All doors are locked except for the ones you need to go through, so there is no real "surprise". Only a few areas to "get lost" in. Makes finding way through buildings kind of a no brainer. All in all, the game is dark, scary and stays true to the heart of SH series. I quite like it On the other hand, there is still lots of exploring to do and there are tons of startling moments where I was truly scared. Game is dark and characters are good. Music is OK, I kinda like it. If I could change a couple things it would be...Add more rooms to explore in, kinda to waste some time exploring instead of just finding unlocked doors that lead you to where you need to go. I like the new combat features. You have to remember, the main character was in the ARMY (OR MARINES whatever), it adds some fun to the game and makes it fun to kill the monsters that ARE hard to kill. I also like the darkness of the game and the creepiness, it is some what true to the first 3 SH games.Read full review
