Cage and Perlman in Season of the Witch
Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman are noble Knights who are fighting for the Church in the Holy Crusades during the 14th Century.
After years of fighting for the Church, the two witness an atrocity sanctioned by the Church and decide to leave. This makes them deserters in the land and anyone who sees them is to report them to the local authorities. When they arrive in a small town they are discovered by the local authorities, however, in stead of being taken to the gallows, they are asked to escort a known Witch to the monastery for cleansing....In return they will receive a full pardon.
This is a good story and Cage and Perlman hit it off as a team. The movie has a lot of blood and violence but that was common in the 14th century so it is true to life in the movie and not over done.<br>
This is definately worth the price of the DVD.
The movie also stars: Claire Foy as Anna (credited as The Girl), Stephen Campbell Moore as Debelzaq, Robert Sheehan as Kay von Wollenbarth, Ulrich Thomsen as Johann Eckhardt, Stephen Graham as Hagamar, Christopher Lee as Cardinal D'AmbroiseRead full review
