Great phone great seller
I looked at a lot of reviews on the phone and there were not many going against the phone. I bought it knew what to expect but felt like i got a little more. The camera is not all that bad and the easy short cut keys make it especially easy to use. texting is no problem at all on this phone no matter how fat your thumbs are. the buttons are curved and i can write a text without fail almost everytime, and this is my first phone with a qwerty key pad. the battery is great, it will last me 4 days no problem, even with a lot of talking and texting the battery does not drain. once again im impressed with the shortcuts on the phone, they make things like the calendar and calculator and message writing easy. searching through the contact list is easy and detailed. no real complaints about the phone - its no blackberry, but i feel over all i got a little more than what i paid for. however, i send mostly picture messages and texts. the few times ive tried using the blue tooth it never found or connected with any other device. I have had this phone for 4 months. hope this review was helpfulRead full review

SGH A177, all the style without all the price!
Pros: -This phone looks and feels great.
-Excellent reception.
-Bright LCD.
-Talk, SMS, MMS, (IM and Email (with data package)), camera.
-Bluetooth ready, full on front keyboard.
-Has a really good speaker phone system, and audio for music.
-GSM network ready for AT&T, but can be used with other GSM carriers if
unlocked.

Cons: -Not a ton of programs, the phone is pretty basic in this area.
-keyboard response and smoothness not as good as Blackberry Curve 8320
-Camera is very basic but does the trick.

Overall the pros out weigh the cons. The SGH-A177 is a great and attractive looking phone for making calls and texting for a good price. If you want more fluff you'll have to spend more duff.

THIS IS MY 2ND SAMSUNG A 177 AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH HAS BEEN POSITIVE
THIS IS THE SECOND SAMSUNG A 177 I HAVE OWNED AND A PHONE THAT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL OUT THERE. I AM NOT A TECHNO WIZARD AND THIS PHONE WAS MADE JUST BEFORE ALL THE NEW PHONES NOW GOT SO TECHNICAL I DONT GET ANY OR UNDERSTAND ANY OF THEM. THE SAMSUNG A 177 I JUST GOT IS A 2009 MODEL, YET I GOT IT BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX AND COULDNT BE HAPPIER. THE SIMPLICITY ON THIS PHONE PLUS THE QUALITY ARE OF DAYS GONE BY AND TO GET A PHONE THIS GOOD YOU HAVE TO GO ON EBAY AND FIND A 4 YEAR OLD MODEL THATS BRAND NEW. I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET A NEW PHONE FREE FROM ATT, BUT ID RATHER PAY A SECOND TIME FOR ONE OF THE LAST SIMPLE AND BEST PHONES EVER MADE, BEFORE THEY BECAME SO TECHNICAL YOU HAVE TO BE EINSTEIN TO UNDERSTAND HOW THEY WORK. A PHONE IS MADE FOR SENDING AND RECEIVING. THATS IT! THIS PHONE HAS GOT ALL THE FEATURES YOU NEED WITH THE EASE OF A PHONE MADE 4 OR 5 YEARS AGO. GO ON EBAY AND GET YOURSELF A SAMSUNG A 177! YOU WONT REGRET IT! SORRY THEY DONT MAKE THEM NEW LIKE THIS ANYMORE YET HAPPY I COULD GO ON EBAY AND FIND THIS OLD PHONE BRAND NEW AND COULDNT BE HAPPIER!!Read full review

I like it !
i really like this is phone. The calls come in loud and clear. It sends and receives text fast. The camara is really sensitive though. YOu have to be really really still when you take a picture or its blurry. And it does not have a memory card slot which really stinks it wont hold as many pictures as i would like it to ! The keys can be hard to type because they are so small but just having the advantage of a query keyboard out weigh's that factor ! Over all i really like this phone it fits in your hand just right making it easy to hold when your on a call ! The speaker phone works great it is really loud and clear making it easy to use as well ! The bluetooth works good and quickly there just isnt quiet enough memory to have a lot of ring tones but it does have enough to have a few ! The phone was really easy to figure out i didnt even have to read the manual it was simple ! The battery life is good as well i am constantly playing with my phone and texting and making calls with the battery lasting 2-3 days and i am messing with it ALL the time ! i wanted to buy this phone just because of the query keypad and i really do like it . It is so much faster and easier than the original keypad's . I am definitely glad i decided to get this phone !Read full review
