Bright Screen & You'll Never Run Out of Memory on this Phone
Before buying the Vibrant, I'd read probably around 100 reviews and knew the specs, as well as the pros and cons of this particular model. Good Things to know: 16 GB of on-board memory = lots of room for apps, music, and video Microsdhc slot = You can add another 32 GB! OLED Screen = The best display you can get on any device. Wifi/GPS/Bluetooth 3 = common now, but nice to have. Bluetooth will allow you to listen to music via bluetooth, as well as the usual phone options. Caveats with this model: Everything will work fine on T-Mobile stock ROMs. Custom ROMs have issues with the GPS. Usually if your phone sleeps, you'll have to reboot for the GPS to work when using a custom ROM. The latest ICS and MIUI seem to work better - I'm using 360 Productions Lithium MIUI ROM with the kernel that came with it, and I haven't had to reboot yet. It's must faster, gets incredible battery life (compared to stock), and I'm pleased to the point where I'll keep with as my ROM. ICS is nice, but it's slow and uses up the battery. Final Point: Speed = You can get upwards of 4G speeds, but it's not a 4G phone. Your speeds for data will be great. 4G itself is a moniker for their high speed network. All this being said, I can stream Netflix and use Groove IP just fine with this phone. And did I mention it's paid for? This phone is as good as any new one for most features. Read full review

Fast phone but has a short battery life and seizes up quite a bit.
I bought this for my son for Christmas. It is his first Android type data phone. It seems to be easy to use and is pretty quick at downloading data. The two complaints that I always hear him vocalizing are the very short life span of the battery and how the phone always seizes up so he has to turn the phone off and then back on, allowing it to reboot. Having said that, I have a $600 Galaxy that does the same thing. At a full charge, the battery will last until around 2pm, at which time he will start getting low battery warnings. It will do this for another forty minutes at which time it will turn itself off. I suggested for him to get a bigger battery and he said if he did, his case would no longer fit the phone. What's a guy to to :-)

This is a great buy if your looking for an easy to use smartphone ;-)
I love the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant. It does everything I want and more. The longer I have it the more things I learn to use it for. I have the 16GB and it has pleanty of memory space in it, also have a 2GB SD card. Havent run out of space yet. The camera is fantastic, very impressive for a phone/camera. I also love everything available on the Android Market.

Superior DIsplay quality , calls , HD camcorder and fast load and apps.
Samsung Galaxy ... Okay.. This is the only smartphone from samsung that i had a chance to have it .... since long time sgh version cellphone ... First of all , i thought this is simply a bigger iphone with pretty slick and fast load smartphone for application , games and one thing i notice ... the speed of installation of the apps ... .fast !! I am a iphone fan but samsung galaxy amaze me with many things ... color quality .... is superior way better than iphone and HTC ..I had tried HTC HD7 , EVO , or motorola defy , iphone 3 4 4s , and samsung galaxy have amazing picture quality on photo and videos. Minus about this phone ... no auto focus , a bit too much 6 layering row ,..HTC HD7 have alot better rowing management .. iphone is the last... speed of loading the web is pretty much the same with HTC , .. i think HTC alot faster , ...the size of application is pretty decent ... i am talking about the display of application ,... HTC HD7 tend to be a bigger style of mod. Overall , I am quite happy with Samsung Galaxy S , ... but i am curios with the second one and of course the Nexus ! ... otherwise ... i pretty obvious pick this one up above iphone 4 and HTC HD7 or mytouch 3g or 4g. By the way the HD camcoder is an awsome awsome feature but without flash ... it is minus compare with Mytouchs.... I definitely made envy HTC user and my touch ... on display quality and sound .. everything else ... we should see the Second and Nexus. Hope this help !! Read full review

Stable Android, good battery, acceptable agenda, cheap phone
Previously owned a HTC HD2, bought it when it was top notch. I modded it to android like most of the HD2 owners. But, too much bugs. This is my personal comparison between US Galaxy S vs HTC HD2. Why i bought this? Stable Android, cheaper than the EU Galaxy S. What i like about it? Better battery life (running 2days), Better quality screen. What i don`t like about it? Slippery compared to HD2. No flash. Build quality feels much cheaper. Smaller screen. Charge port position is retarded. What is very disapointing about this US Galaxy S is that Kyes only has Android 2.2 for it, compared to the EU Galaxy S which has Android 2.3 P.S. HTC Android/WinMO owners beware: even if the SmartDial agenda looks similar, this one is very retarded. It does not suggest you what to dial also based on the history of your calls. Simple example: I wanna phone "Mom". Well if HTC HD2 would suggest me to phone "Mom" mobile, this Samsung dialler suggests me to phone Mom home since it is first in my agenda. Also you can`t sms a person, you can only call him from that "smartdial" menu. Still, million times better than the Apple agenda which is purely retarded. Only reason why i picked this is because it is a stable Android out of the box. I own smartphones for 7 years now and i am sick of firmware modding and tweaking. Read full review
