The combination of a tablet and a phone all in one awesome device.
This phone has a brilliant 5.3 inch display, and it plays videos and games extremely well. For the US that has ATT, this phone offers 4G LTE network, which is extremely fast. It has the best front facing camera that I've really ever seen (2.0MP) and an 8 MP back camera. You can sketch and type notes, and even WRITE THEM BY hand to this phone, the battery is awesome too. Overall I'd go for this device.

The SGN is a great device, but it's not for everyone.
I see lots of reviews on this device, but some of you haven't even owned it! Try it for a couple months (seriously) and then you can place an honest review! I think it is a great device, but experience it first before placing up a review.
The GT-N7000 is an excellent device with a few flaws. Yes the battery is 2500 mAh, however the screen and data (wifi/3G) can easily eat up that battery if you do not have some type of battery saving software or adjust your power usage in the settings menu. Choosing the wrong apps can also eat up your battery. You can remedy this by getting a 2600 mAh battery off of eBay, and swapping them out when the battery gets low. Someone mentioned that this phone uses 4G? Not the case out here in the states. 3G is the best the GT-N7000 can produce, although the U.S. Version DOES support 4G. If you want the faster data, go with the AT&T version. Also, be ready to program your GT-N7000 when you get it because you will find you cannot send MMS (Picture text) and other things without placing the proper input for the phone. YouTube has videos on how to correct this problem.
I'm not sure if I receive a defective product, but just a month after owning the device it would no longer hold a charge. My SGN had the following text:
"CHARGING PAUSED. TEMPERATURE IS TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW."
After seeing this text, the phone would not hold a charge. I tried unplugging and replugging it, taking out the battery, and then I did a factory reset on it. Same message popped up. My phone was stock, never rooted or flashed, and only a MONTH old! The next day, the battery was COMPLETELY dead. Sadly, I returned the SGN but am getting a replacement soon. I will give it one more shot because I honestly enjoyed the item.Read full review

Nothing else comes close to the beauty and ease of use of the Galaxy Note.
I bought the Samsung Galaxy Note (SGN) because it is a tablet of just the right size with a PERFECT screen, it affords stylus interaction that is as good as an art digitizer, and it is a mobile device into which I can put my SIM card. The SGN is a complete communication and PDA tool.
I paid a fair price for the SGN on eBay (late 2011). It was dear, but I insist on buying unlocked mobile devices. Carriers do not treat customers fairly.
There is no other device on the market (late 2011) like the SGN. The 5"x3" AMOLED screen is stunningly good. Writing and drawing (in *colour*) with the stylus is easy. The Android Market offers abundant possibilities, browsing the Web is fast (and finding WiFi is easy), and Android's multitasking makes the SGN a pleasure to use.
I find the "Swype" writing application to be the most effective way of entering text. T9 (predictive text) is adequate; pen input is very good, although one must make an effort to write clearly. On the whole, Swype is the most productive for a chap like me whose handwriting has grown ugly in the Age Of The Keyboard.
= The "S Stylus" does not have a replaceable tip.
= The battery should be charged daily if one is using WiFi (and it's hard to resist using WiFi with such a beautiful screen).
= Android's Voice Control works, but is limited and the synthetic voice is not sonorous.
= At the time of writing (late 2011), it is difficult to find an adequate protective case for the SGN.
Samsung has produced a beautiful tablet with cellular capability. Nothing on the market comes close to the beauty and ease of use of the Galaxy Note.Read full review

Err, superb? Best phone on the market by relative performance. The big screen makes this a nono for busy people who don't like hands-free systems, but an excellent choice for net surfers, like me. And it is portable. More so than any tab, pad or lap out there. I suppose it's a matter of pocket size. But for a big dude, with big hands (that can't really press buttons on smaller models) it's ideal.
Pros: - impress your friends by playing Tekken 3 through the MHL/HDMI port on a 50 inch TV, with a wireless PS3 controler (rooted version) or a bluetooth one (warranty safe version).
- I never write reviews, but this thing is astounding
- the social hub software is simply put, perfect.
- windows remote desktop is remarcably easy
- put a better PDF reader on it and enjoy large boooks
- edit office documents and enjoy the astounding agenda/ calendar
Cons: - hard to find accessories (well in physical stores anyway, but since you're buying from ebay - I got my book style case from amazon, 9.99). I guess that's why iphone and ipad are so hyped, cause every store is filled to the brink with their stuff.
- had a small issue with answer call button, as it wasn't optimized for the 5 inch screen and had to switch to the hard Home button.
- good battery, but greedy machine and, as all smartphones, requires daily charging.
- expensiveRead full review

High-performance large screen android-based phone.A must purchase!
This has been by far and away the best phone I have ever owned.I have used all of the Palm Treo phones, Palm Centro, Palm Pre series and the Samsung Galaxy S II.
I have greatly enjoyed the over sized screen which for older eyes is fantastic. Because of the larger size I find that I do not use my tablet nearly as much as I used to.The multiple features and the downloadable apps for this android phone makes it a business workhorse. It also provides for a great deal of pleasure usage through games, camera and video and various movie apps. Google music is a wonderful program which works well with the Bluetooth connection in my automobile and allows me access to nearly 20,000 songs from my collection.
I have had no issues with battery life. In fact, even on my heaviest usage days I have battery left before I retire at midnight.I purchased a spare battery and battery charger in anticipation of poor battery life but never use it.
I very easily becomyme accustomed to the larger size. Any other phone now looks puny. It also is a nice conversation starter as everyone who sees the phone asks me about it.
Unlike some of my prior phones, I have never had a reset issue. I have overa hundred programs that I'm currently using.
I have had an issue with the built-in calendar program, however this is just a matter of preference. I have gone to a third-party calendar which works better for me. I much appreciate the fact that I can download different fonts with different sizes. My Amazon Kindle works flawlessly. I find that I prefer to use the Galaxy Note more than I do my Kindle for my reading.
I've had nothing but impressive experiences with this phone and continue to learn more each day about its functions. I highly recommend the Galaxy Note!Read full review
