Pride of the Land
This CD is a great buy! The music of the Lion King inspired this extra set of music, which complements the original soundtrack so well. Tracks like Hakuna Matata and The Lion Sleeps Tonight have been redone with more of an African feel, whike tracks like Lea Halalela and Lala expand on background themes from the movie in a most excellent way. My favorite track though, is still He Lives In You, which I think is a track that appears in the stage musical (don't quote me, I have never seen the stage musical).

Would I reccomend this item? HELL YEAH! :D
Simply beautiful tracks. If you see this item buy it! It is very hard to find at such a good price and has some amazing songs only available on this CD and nowhere else! The cover art is stunning and is one of the best Lion King compilations I have in my collection! If you are a lion king collector or just love African music, this is the CD for you! Absolutely nothing wrong with this CD just an amazing item!

a must have!!
beautiful album, a must have for any lion king fan! when i saw this cd i knew that i would love it, so i had to buy it. my favorite songs are lea halaela (holy land), kuba, busa, lala, its time, and the lion sleeps tonight. he lives in you and hakuna matata are also good. the only track that i think shouldnt of been on here was warthog rahpsody, it was too kiddish compared to all the other tracks on the album.but overall this cd is worth the money. you will love it!!

So glad it's a CD now!
I had this when The Lion King was new, and it was on a cassette, but it warped in the sun! I'm so glad they made them into CD's too! This CD features music that you'll recognize from the first, and the second Lion King movies, although the songs are a tad different. Most of the songs are not on the movies, however, and that's why I loved this soundtrack so much! It has awesome music, and I'm sure my kids will love it too!

Fantastic album, best money ever spent.
The "Lion King Rhythm of the Pridelands" is a definate must have for fans of the movie or those that enjoy soulful music. This album contains predominately african music that is influenced by western arrangement so it is accessible to everyone. notable songs include: "Busa", "the lion sleeps tonight" and "Warthog Rhapsody" (an original movie song before it was replaced with Hakuna Matata).
A fantastic album and a definite must have.
