Reconyx takes the best pictures.
These HC600's take great pictures. They are relatively expensive. I now have seven of them. They do not do video, The covert IR does not have a great range, but is effective. One can either take a laptop or tablet to the field to see the pictures immediately or just review the cards after returning home. The Lithium batteries last for one season or more, taking thousands of pictures. The one on the tree in my back helped convict two guys that were breaking into houses in our neighborhood. I currently have two of these on the job site where I am having a house built, and It made a great picture of a subcontractor taking part of the materials home with him. But mostly I use them to pattern the deer and locate what part of my property has the big bucks. And on which of the green fields are the turkeys coming to in the spring. Read full review

Reconyx as good as it gets.
The only negative I can find is the lack of ability to review pictures in the field without bringing along another camera. The 3.1 megapixel is adequate, but the newer version has even more if you want sharper images.

I would highly recommend this trail camera.
I have owned cheaper trail cameras in the past to scout for deer during the summer and fall months in upstate N.Y. I would be lucky if they lasted a year and when they did work they provided mediocre results at best. Frustrated I almost gave up on using trail cameras all together. However I decided to give them another try and did some research and found that the Reconyx brand trail cameras have a great track record in quality, customer satisfaction and customer service. That being said I have owned the Reconyx HC600 for about 1 1/2 months and have had it in the field since the day it arrived. It is far superior to any other trail camera I have owned the picture quality and trigger speed is exceptional and the software that is provided is a great tool as well. So if you are sick of wasting your time and money with cheap trail cameras then i would suggest that you consider investing in a Reconyx brand Trail camera. Read full review

I own 8 HC600's I see what I have been missing w/ other cameras.
We own 500 acres in Pa. having trail cameras to monitor our HIT list & see what other bucks are running around is very important, as well as treaspassers they wont even know they just had their pic taken. I own 14 cameras 8 are Reconyx HC600. This camera may cost a little more but trust me it is worth the money & saves frustration on runaway triggers, missed pics of Buck or other game just coming into a small part of the view. These 8 Reconyx HC600 cameras capture shots that my other 6 cams just seem to miss, MADE in the USA. When you call RECONYX (GUESS WHAT?) you speak to a live person right away. Like I said when I pull cards from my Reconyx HC600's I know that every photo it says I have will contain images of GAME or other object. The HC600 is the perfect camera. I am not paid nor rec any product for this review. I am a HAPPY RECONYX owner, watch eBay for GREAT deals on them. Some people have used them 1 year others couple weeks, one thing I will say is when you get a used camera be sure to take it in a dark room ASAP prior to taking it to woods & making sure all of the IR NO GLOWS are lighting up, you will be able to tell the enitre area will light up faint glow, hold camera up & look into it you will be able to tell if all IR's are lighting up RED sometimes used cameras have been abused from the owner..I ran into this 1 time & the seller quickly made it right.
