This show is hilarious. Watched it when it was on tv originally. Should have been on tv longer. Don't understand why it got cancelled.

Another fantastic Bret Harrison show!!
Great TV show. Bret Harrison has really come a long way with his acting career. This, like so many others in the past, was cut too short with only 2 seasons. However, this show has all of the elements to keep viewers coming back for more...comedy, this show was definitely good for a few laughs, of course you have the classic guy loves girl but she doesn't know it and no show would be complete without Bret Harrison being the guy that just can't catch a break..all in good fun though. This is a dark humor show since he is working as a bounty hunter for the devil, but if you are a fan of this genre, this is a must see. I would definitely recommend this show!

What a great geeky show
this show is a great concept and well executed, well written and well produced. The show's premise is that the Devil owns the soul of this boy, our hero, and he now has to bounty hunt souls who have escaped from hell due to a high influx of souls recently. So each week he has a new soul to capture with new abilities...yadda yadda and if this was the way the show was week in and week out I would hate it. however, like I said this show is executed very well. Sometimes the escaped soul is merely a side note of the week. what really catches attention is the other stories going on, his interactions with satan, his best friends, his love interest, his parents, the demons that live right across the hall, the fake green card marriage, the law intern in love with the idiot best friend, the jealous raging ex, etc. all these teamed up with a great cast, wonderful cameos (Michael Ian Black, Patton Oswalt, etc.) makes this a great show to get further into than you should and with Kevin Smith consulting your inner geek can roam free (no matter what Ari Gold thinks) It's a show you wont regret watching...unless you have something that you have to do, because you won't be able to just stop watching after one episode.Read full review

"Reaper" worth watching again and again
I own other series seasons on DVD and find I seldom watch them - but "Reaper" is worth watching again and again. Sam is a slacker and going nowhere in life, until his 21st birthday when he finds his parents sold his soul to the devil before he was born. Now Sam must be a 'bounty hunter,' capturing souls that have escaped from hell. He is assisted by two friends, all the while trying to get up the nerve to ask out a girl he has been friends with for years. Sam's stress level is compounded by an idiot boss, regretful parents, and of course frequent interaction with the devil, played by Ray Wise. All the characters are likeable, even the devil - funny & charming, even though you know he's pure evil inside. The series is helped by the fact that Sam is not asked to do anything evil itself, but rather to capture evil escaped souls and return them to hell. Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, etc.) had some creative input, although I'm not sure how much - but it shows. The series is 'laugh out loud' funny, even when you've seen it before. I intend to get the second season as soon as I can.Read full review

tv with a twist
I am a hugh fan of tv box sets and i recently caught a preview of Reaper season 1 and decided to take the chance. Do not let the shows theme "deal with the devil" fool you. This is an excellently scripted/casted show. It is very refreshing seeing what people will do for their own short-term happiness. I especially enjoy the struggle between right and wrong and exactly how large the grey area can be.
