Overall, it is a unique phone, which though basic, does deliver.
When I bought this I was skeptical, I had never heard of this phone before, and since it is dated from for years back (2009) I didn't think it was much of an interesting phone. When I received it however, I found that (for a basic phone) the capabilities for calling are not hindered, the swivel has yet to wear out, and the QWERTY keyboard is unique for this swivel phone. For a basic phone, in that its not a droid, or an iPhone, its top of its game. With features such as the lighting of the key ring, and habitat mode, which allows for a unique, messenger experience, for a basic phone it is great. There are some things however I am not particularly fond of. It fits in your hand perfectly, however I am still adjusting to how the keyboard types. My hands are pretty adept to texting on the QWERTY boards, but this one can take a little of time getting used to, and I have pretty small hands. The other thing is I am used to the "clr" button being on the right side however the ring is placed there instead. It also has a smaller than normal headphone jack, you could buy those adapters to plug regular headphones in, if this really bothers you. Overall, I believe for a basic phone it has a uniqueness for the "texters" and "hipsters" who want to be individual, with minor flaws that can be overlooked. This is deemed a good phone. It's cute, small and it's a dream to text on.
I wanted to cut my phone bill by getting a basic phone that wouldn't need a data plan, and I like the Nokia Twist because it's cute, small and very nice to text on. It's easy to open to answer, the sound quality is good and the battery life is okay. This is my second Nokia Twist, my first was a used phone that fell apart in my pocket a week after I got it, but I loved it so much my husband bought me a new one, and so far after a couple of weeks it's still in one piece. It does have a camera, but don't bother trying to take a pic with flash, it's part of the lens fixture and washes out the picture... otherwise, pics in adequate light situations are good. You can set 3 separate alarms, it has a basic calendar/notes/calculator/voice recorder, etc. If you have a data plan you can get music and ringtones from Verizon, use Verizon Navigator and My Verizon... not something I care about. One cute feature is called Habitat Mode, where recent calls and text contacts are displayed on the home screen as Avatars or your own pictures... I like it, you may not, and can easily disable it. All in all, it's a nice little basic phone. Read full review

Nokia Twist for Verizon
The whole twist open idea for the phone makes it very compact, easy to fit in the pocket of women's jeans compared to most phones. But because of the twist open feature it makes the top half portion of the phone very susceptible to breakage, especially when stupid people try to flip the phone open like a clamshell. The habitat mode is a very unique setup for viewing the messages and calls but causes the phone to run extremely slow after a while (even after rebooting). The customizable shortcuts make the phone a lot easier to navigate. The calls are clear and the volume is loud. It has a nice selection of ringtones. however I do not enjoy how difficult it is to navigate using the internet on the phone. The screen is very small and makes it difficult to see an entire page. If you zoom out completely then you need to zoom back in to an area in order to type or read anything. It is a pain in the butt, and even getting to your bookmarked pages is a pain. overall the look and usage of the phone is great as long as you warn people not to try to flip the front portion up. I personally avoid using the internet on the phone or it may cause you to throw it at a wall. Read full review

Repeat performance. :-)
I love this phone even though it's a 2009 model! After accidentally water-logging my first, I was thrilled to find it on eBay. I adore the size of it as well as the look on everyone's faces when they learn it's a phone. The keyboard is small but I use the tips of my nails to text and it's fine.

I love the small size and qwerty keyboard and since I started texting more, I needed it. The graphics are cool. The biggest issue for me-I dislike the message and contacts keys on the very front, they are waayy to sensitive. If you aren't careful, it will go to 'erase all contacts' if the message key get's touched accidentally too many times. Actually I just read another review to find out you can set how sensitive those are, so I re-set it and it seems better, maybe that would help it. Fortunately I always caught it before it ever deleted my contacts, but it was too close. Also, the only case I could find at the time I bought it was a thin flimsy thing - the back piece was a thin plastic black with teenie little tabs holding it on the phone, and the front piece was silver color plastic. Now there are all kinds of stronger, cool cases for it. So, it may be a better phone now, but so far it has been just ok. My case broke, the phone dropped and it won't stay closed, it will only stay open. Read full review
