Nintendo DSi White Handheld System
About this product
|The Nintendo DSi is the third model of the Nintendo DS platform, following Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite, and Nintendo has developed Nintendo DSi with the aim to further expand the Nintendo DS audience. Some typical functions include the ability to change the pitch and the speed separately by using the touch screen. The ability to freely manipulate the audio pitch and the speed can expand how the audio player can be used in more practical ways as well. You can fast-forward a podcast to economize the time. When you use the repeat-run function with the stylus, it becomes easier to copy the music, to play a musical instrument or to practice foreign languages. Also, since Nintendo DSi has a microphone, Nintendo is incorporating the DSi sound function to make use of it. Nintendo DSi has internal memory, just like Wii. After storing the data there, you can choose to activate this data from the menu screen.|

Sony PS2 -- A whole lotta bang for a little buck!
The PlayStation 2 game console was the best of its generation. Can it hold a candle to the nextgen systems (PS3 and XBOX 360)??? Let's see...
Graphics: Nextgen wins. This one's a no-brainer. The PS2 can't compete with the nextgen systems on this front. Though I should mention that the PS2 has very good graphics.
Gaming Library: PS2 wins. There are games for all ages on the PS2 and you can play the PS1 games as well. The PS3 (as of this writing) is still having compatability issues with the PS2 and PS1 games.
Online: Difficult...Nextgen takes it. The 360 has decent online funtions. PS3 is lagging on that front...PS2 online is free...
Size: PS2 wins. The original is bulkier than the slim, but still smaller than nextgen systems.
Price: PS2 all the way! If you can afford to go out and drop $400 minimum for the nextgen systems, by all means, have at it. But for those of us looking to spend considerably less than that, the PS2 is where you'll get the most bang for your buck.
Overall, I've had absolutely no problems with the PS2. The PS2 doubles as a DVD player (regular DVD's, not HD or Blu-Ray) and though I've never used it as such, it can also double as a CD player. A remote can be purchased separately.
I would recommend the PS2 to anyone not in a position to go out and buy the newest nextgen console.Read full review

Sony PlayStation 2 Slim - Thumbs Up
The Sony PlayStation 2 Slim (PStwo) is an excellent video game system (and DVD player) for your money. It is the 2004 version of the award-winning PlayStation 2 released in 2000, but it is much more compact and adds built-in online capability. Here is a more thorough list of the pros and cons:
1. Has a huge selection of games for all ages and genres
2. Plays both DVDs and CDs (and you can purchase a remote separately)
3. It's tiny! And it easily fits into most entertainment system
4. Is relatively cheap compared to the newest systems
5. Is very affordable, especially when compared with the 2005-2006 systems
6. Has built-in online capability and playing online with others is free
1. Despite its newness, it does not have the latest graphics capabilities
2. Its online experience is not as robust and polished as Xbox Live
3. Discs are top-loaded, which requires more room than front-loading trays
4. Unlike the original PlayStation 2, it has no hard drive expansion option
In summary, the PlayStation 2 Slim is an excellent system with great value. It may not be nearly as functional or snazzy as the PlayStation 3 (March 2006) or the Xbox 360 (Nov 2005), but it really gets the job done as an affordable game system and DVD player. I hope this was helpful!Read full review
