28-200mm NIKON ED - Unbeatable at this price
I have tried many and this lens produced much sharper pictures than the other one I tried.<br>It is light and compact making it easier to leave on as an everyday lens.

Nikon 28-200mm D-AF Lens
I bought this lens because I wanted one lens that would stay on my camera for 90 percent of the pictures I would be taking. The best lens for this purpose would be the Nikon 18-200mm but that lens is about four times the price of a 28 to 200. The lens has met all my expectations in a quality Nikon product. Clarity and sharpness are perfect and I could not be happier.

I am a Pro Photographer and I love this lens! It provides crisp, clear, clean images. I know it is old technology, but it performs as good as my more expensive Nikon telephoto lenses. The range of zomm it provides is oustanding. There are no vignetting issues with the 28mm setting. (I use thin UV and Polorizing filters). I would recommend this lens to anyone.

Great lens, Great pics...
I wanted a larger zoom for carry, more than the 24-85 or the 24-120mm, for my D-600 (which is an excellent camera)... I chose the 28-200 AF-D as it provides a nice wide angle and ample zoom, for my needs... It has the metal mount, rather than a plastic one, takes great pics at all ranges... If you shop around, you can find one in great condition, that's reasonably priced... It goes to show that you don't have to break the bank to get a quality lens...

Awsome Portrait lens
First of all I have owned Nikon for my professional business for 18 years. Nikon 28-200 is a truly cost friendly lens with excellent results. When used with my D200 I know there is a 1.5 loss in the wide angle but that is not why I purchased it. I purchased the lens for it's portrait abilities. It is an awsome portrait lens and close up lens. I find its optics sharp, true and without flaw. Nikon has always been a name with quality and the Nikon 28-200mm lens is just that, Quality!
