F2.8, sharpest macro at every f stop, very cheap to buy I love this lens
There is no better Macro at any price, Im a pro shooter for over 45 years, this lens will never disappoint at any f stop, and focuses very well on my Nikon Digitals and Fuji XT1 and XPro1 cameras that I adore. Autofocus is nice, but for Macro its kind of useless, this lens is impossible to beat. It was the benchmark by which other lenses were compared for SLRs as was the Leica Summicron for Rangefinders back in the day. Wide open it has a great bouquet for portraiture on FX or DX formats. This lens is all Metal and will live forever if you but it mint or excellent condition.

Excellent Macro Lens
This lens is in perfect condition and works well with my D3100. A pro friend turned me onto this lens, and, combined with the TC 200 teleconverter, I have gotten some great shots of insects.

My sharpest lens
It is the sharpest lens I have. I bought it used, with a very stiff focus ring. The great thing about mechanical lens is that they can be easily repaired, even by ourselves if we pay attention and be careful and patient. I have not used this lens for long, but just like other mechanical/manual Nikkor lens I have, it is very finely made and I am most certain that it will last longer than my life. Sharp, almost no distortion, good bokeh, great craftsmanship, light weight, small size, inexpensive, etc. - it is simply a great lens to own.

Sharp lense at a bargain price.
The lens is very clean and in perfect condition. Works perfectly on my D7100. Super sharp lens that works well as a macro or normal (short telephoto 82.5mm ) with the DX sensor. Very nice bokeh blurring when wide open at f2.8. Manual focus is extremely precise with the electronic focus indicator. Great for closeups and portraits.
