Best tablet you can get for this price.
This is a great tablet. It is very fast and has plenty of RAM. The battery life is really great as well.
This tablet is excellent for those who need to multitask, want a bigger screen (but not as big as 10"), but want something small. It feels comfortable to hold in your hands in either portrait or landscape, the speakers are excellent as well.
This tablet compares like nothing else to the others. You CANNOT get any other device this good, with this build quality, at this price!
Rating is 4 star because of the GPS, reboot, and touch screen problems (possibly software/hardware at fault?), otherwise it's a 5 star device. I'd wait to get one until the issues are ironed out though.
- Very fast.
- Plenty RAM.
- Front and back camera.
- Lots of battery.
- Pretty light.
- Smaller than last gen.
- WiFi in it is amazing.
- Wireless charging capability.
- Good speakers.
- Google GPS, touchscreen, and reboot issues.
- No back camera flash (not a deal breaker).
- Side buttons are a little hard to use, but it's something you can deal with for the excellent device you have in return.Read full review

Fast for a device that is over 2 years old now
Although the Nexus 7 has hardware specs that some may consider slow for today's standards, it still runs like a beast. It's very snappy on Lollipop and Marshmallow, game performance is better than I expected, and overall very fast. It rarely stutters or anything.

Older is sometimes better.
It is too bad that tech products are always advancing. This Google tablet is great. My first tablet was the first nexus 7, and I loved that one too. My kids broke the screen, so I had to find something else. I did not want a bigger screen, because then you lose the portability factor. 7-inch tablets fit in my inside jacket pocket, and this one paired with a compact case I found even fits in the back pocket of some of my jeans.
The problem with current 7-inch tablets is that they are generally low-priced and lacking in screen resolution and processing power. The resolution on this screen is really nice, noticeably better than other 7-inch tablets we have used. The processor is also fast enough to keep up with games and loads apps and web pages quickly.
I should probably buy a spare before these HD Nexus 7s can not be found.Read full review

This is the second Nexus 7 I have owned. I enjoyed the first one but after one of the updates it was very slow. I almost did not order another one but finally decided to do so as I am familiar with it and the price was right. So far, so good. I have done several updates and it is still operating very well. The picture is very bright and sharp. I am retired and do not need a tablet that is "amazing". This one does everything I need it to do. I have downloaded a few apps which work very well with this Nexus. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

An excellent purchase - Nexus 7 (2013)
and still one of the best on the market. Especially the software platform.
