Nextar Q4 -01 GPS
I purchased this unit right here on Ebay for a family trip I had taken along the northeast coast from Jersey to Maryland. For the 4 days of driving I did with it, it pretty much did what it was intended to do. It gave me good solid directions, the voice prompts and turn by turn voice assistance was solid and I never lost a signal during my trip. If you want something that will tell you in which lane you need to get off on, or more traffic info such as the current status of the route your driving on, this one will not fill your needs. it does not have as many poi's as some of the more expensive ones like Garmin, Tomtom, or Magellan, but enough to get you to that next fuel stop or the nearest Micky D's on your travels. It's simply a basic unit with a really simple screen that by tapping it twice, you're ready to drive. Decent screen size at 4.3 inches and it holds a pretty good charge, almost 3 hours on mine. For well under $100 bucks you can't go wrong with this gps from Nextar. It is simple to use, easy to navigate around the menus and the included holder does a real good job of holding this unit and staying in place after a few good bumps on the road. Practical, easy to use, and a real good value in a solid gps unit. Truth is, I did'nt get lost once, and let's face it, that's what its all about. Getting you from point A to point B is all that matters, and this one does it pretty well. Read full review

This little guy packs a punch with features searched for in devices today!
This is a very easy simple to use GPS Unit. Several different voice choices including languages as well. The speaker volume can also be adjusted very high. Very clear and crisp verbal instructions given. Love the on-board stylus feature as well. Don't have to worry about losing it. Photo's can be viewed and music can be played as well. Many features in this unit. Very nice design and color goes perfectly with my vehicles interior. This is my second purchase of a Nextar GPS product. I had no problems with the previous GPS unit I owned until someone shattered the screen. I am sure this unit will last a very long time for me as well.

Gets me where I'm going
Very easy to use, the volume is louder than other models I've used, and it's very accurate. I've bought three of these so far, one for my wife, one for my parents, and one for me, none of them have had any major problems, but two of the chargers failed within a week, I just use my motorola cell phone charger for mine and the other I had to buy a new charger, I did an rma for one of the chargers but the one they sent me died too. for the price I'm not too upset though. The battery last for about an hour but the manufacturer states 2 hours. Overall it works great, the screen is easy to see, and the voice is louder than others.

Very compact; price is lower than many others; user reviews online were positive; relatively easy to program; good battery life (so far); charge cord is standard mini USB; had to contact NEXTAR for instructions on activating "text-to-speech"; No response, confirmation, or perceptible improvement after contacting NEXTAR about map errors and street name mispronunciation; no map updates offered by Nextar; would buy same unit again.

A working product would be recommended
The display was very good, the features are acceptable and the unit came with all the needed accessories. I did have a major issue with the system, for what ever reason, the unit apparently had a problem with the speaker as it would not vocalize the driving instructions. I had hope that the arrow would show the driving instructions, but it did not. I actually have another receiver so will see if the accessories are compatable with that receiver.
