Need for Speed: ProStreet (Sony PlayStation 3, 2007)
About this product
|Need for Speed: ProStreet brings the underground street-racing scene into the light with sanctioned competitions held across the globe. Multiple events are held on such real-world tracks as Tokyo's Shuto Expressway, Willow Springs, and the Autobahn. The goal throughout each point-to-point or closed circuit course is to be crowned "street king" by defeating rivals in drag, grip, drift, and speed challenges. A wide assortment of cosmetic and performance enhancements are available to tune cars, and a real-time damage system means prized vehicles can actually be totaled during races. |
Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game allow users to custom design their rides on the Internet and then save their "blueprints" to either their Xbox Live Gamertag or PS3 ID for use in races. Another new online feature is the ability to create custom challenges called "race days," where players set the location, race type, car classes, and other variables before sending out invitations to friends. ProStreet includes licensed car models from such auto manufacturers as Nissan, Subaru, BMW, Ford, Audi, Acura, Chrysler, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Mazda, and Volkswagen.

Most REALISTIC NEED FOR SPEED YET!!!
Need for speed pro street was one of the better Need For Speeds that have been released. It was by far the most realistic Need For Speed out there. I really enjoyed the fact that if you damage a foreign car, the cost to repair the vehicle goes up depending on how valuable it is in real life. I don't enjoy paying for it, but I thought it was a very good idea to make that part realistic.

In this Need For Speed, there is a great variety of different race types. Grip races, Time Trial, Drift, Drag, Speed, Top Speed, Wheelie Competitions and several more. I was happy to see that EA finally decided to get rid of the Knockout races. The game started off kind of boring because you start off with very slow and unexciting vehicles. Such as an old Honda Civic and the Chevy Cobalt. As you get farther into the game, you can get nicer cars, and eventually get up to the unbeatable Pagandi Zonda. The variety of cars in this game was a disappointment, because they do not have many of the cars you expect to be in a racing game such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and cars like that.

The graphics and details in this game are very good. The length of the Career mode was very satisfying. The Multiplayer part of this game came to be a disappointment. It was just like any other Multiplayer racing game. If you are looking for a good racing game for PS3. I would suggest this only for single player, if you are looking to play online I would wait until something better comes out.

If you have any questions about this game that I did not mention here, please contact me, I would be more than happy to answer all of your questions about this game. If I did not mention a certain detail that you would like to know, just tell me and I will add it here. If you enjoyed this review please rate is helpful!! Thank YouRead full review

Excellent Fun Game :)
Gameplay: 9.0

ProStreet offers some great customization elements as well as several different types of races, including the brand new Drag Race mode to keep you interested. The game generally feels more technically realistic and responsive, and offers a new level of depth and complexity to the Need for Speed series.

Graphics: 9.0

Fantastically rendered car models with accurate damage modeling and awesome smoke effects.

Sound: 8.5

The sound effects and voice work and pretty good, and the soundtrack is what you would expect from an EA title.

Difficulty: Medium

Concept: 9.0

It was a risky move for the series, but it ultimately paid off. Need for Speed is an original and unique racer that focuses on performance and tuning over looks, and is a blast for it.

Multiplayer: 9.0

Great community elements from the Race Day mode to the blueprints highlight this online racer.

Overall: 9.0

Need for Speed: ProStreet is a great breath of fresh air for the series, and is a very complex and deep racer with some sleek customization options.Read full review

This game is cool for an older game. The game has some cool drag racing and drifting. Lots of fun. So far I think all the need for speed games are worth buying. PS3 games are a real
good chose as PS4 does not have enough games as of yet.
