Best 3G Android phone you can buy!
I was looking for the best 3G phone that works on the Verizon network and the Droid X2 definitely fits the bill. The deal with my pre-paid carrier (PagePlus)is so sweet, I will never go back to Verizon, but I can only use a 3G phone. This phone is awesome! I was upgrading from Windows Mobile pand I was really impressed with what Android has to offer. Some of the apps out there are amazing! The phone is fast and the screen is sharp and bright. It works great for watching Netflix videos and can be hooked up to a TV with an HDMI cable. I love having instant access (no boot time or cumbersome login) to the web, email, games, books,etc... For me, the screen is just the right size to discreetly surf the web, read a book, or play a game. The phone itself has great call quality too.

On the down side, the Android OS doesn't have adequate privacy controls. It seems like every app you download from the marketplace wants to track your every move. And all of these apps running in the background hog valuable memory; it would have been nice if the phone had come with a gig of RAM to match its fast dual core processor. Overall, though it's a great phone. I've had mine for about a month and I was so impressed, I just bought one for my wife.Read full review

Try it. You'll love its multitasking responsive dual core performance.
The versatility and solid performance of this multi-functional dual core processor phone are wonderful. The Droid X2's phone quality is everything I understood it would be. Its response for Internet and email access is superb. I never wait for sluggish connectivity. The many wonderful toggle apps that can be placed on the home screen help me to organize effectively (Wi-Fi switch, calendar, etc). The battery is a lion of a performer with little risk of running low with careful use.

The Droid X2's quality for streaming videos is highly acceptable. I'm not much of a gamer at all, so I can't speak to that. However, I'm interested in getting an HDMI cable and trying it with my flat screen TV.

Any expectation I have for it (including the wonderful GPS system) is fully met and exceeded. There's no hype with this phone. The camera is superb. I had heard about overheating of the battery area, but the Forums do mention recommended solutions for this (if this problem applies to you). Motorola's design is well-integrated so that you always know if you missed a phone call, received a text or an email. You can read incoming texts and emails while on the phone.

I can't say enough about this phone. If you give it a chance you will love what you learn and make a solid friend. I intend to keep mine for years to come.Read full review

Never been happier to have a new phone!
I have had a Droid for over 2 years, but kept having issues with it. Finally, the time came to upgrade and after looking over a lot of phones, I settled for the Droid X2 over a IPhone. My determining factor was the ability to change the battery if I needed to without voiding the warranty (Thanks "Jobs"!) I have enjoyed the bigger screen, the faster performance, and the overall quality. What blew me away was when we recently had a forest fire near my house (I live in East Texas) and I went and videod the fire and the helicopters and planes dive bombing it with water and fire retardent. I went back home and used the HDMI cable to hook my phone up to my flat screen, not expecting too much. I was AMAZED at the quality of the picture being sent from a 4.5 in screen to a56 in TV. It was unbelievable! The detail, the sound quality...they were all there. I am sold on this phone now mainly becuase of the HDMI ability. I also have netflix through the phone and look forward to watching a movie soon over my large TV streaming to my phone! What will they think of next! As the phone says from time to time: DROID!!!!!Read full review

Can't beat a Droid X.
I am a phone snob! Yes I admit it, I want a nice phone. My first smartphone was a Droid X and I loved it. Seems that everyone around me was switching to an IPhone so I did too. I bought the IPhone 4... and within two weeks was reactivating my Droid. I switched back and forth several times before deciding to switch back to the Droid permanently. I upgraded to the Droid X2 and it is everything I want it to be. The features that I needed were the alert light that blinks when I have a missed call or message - the IPhone does not offer that and it is very annoying to have to unlock your phone for no reason several times a day. Also the fact that my Droid understands every word I say... I can speak a text anytime and dont have to worry about words being out of context. The IPhone 4 can not do that... neither can Siri on the IPhone 4S that my friends have. I am happy as can be with my Droid X2. It is a remarkable phone and I love it!Read full review
