dark dark dark--pure Chris Carter. Lance Henriksen is the perfect choice to play Frank Black as he deadpans most everything, Carter must like filming in any available cellar or abandoned building. I doubt electricity bill is very high. Yellow house he lives in is perfect counterpoint to his job. Does this guy know any normal people? Set is a great nostalgic trip back to late 1990's when everyone was wondering whether the world was going to end or all our computers would die on us. I guess we will have to wait for the Maya Calendar to end in 4 years for a new end of the world frenzy

My father loved the X-files and with father's day comming up I had to get him this collection. It is a great show and has lots of bonus feature. It's a must have.

Dark and serious.
From the creative genius that brought us The X-Files, Millennium is a dark and brooding saga of former FBI profiler Frank Black. Frank has a gift, he can place himself in the mind of a murderer. He can see what the killer sees, and Frank uses this gift to track down serial killers and bring them to justice. After suffering a breakdown, Frank brings his wife and daughter to Seattle and agrees to act as a consultant for the Millennium Group. The group is a government agency shrouded in mystery. In fact, that is one of my problems with the first season... just who is the Millenium Group? What is their purpose? Why do they have complete access to local and federal law enforcement agency databases? I don't think that these questions are answered very well. Season Two would go further in explaining the group, but for now we're left in the dark. Un-itiated viewers should be warned of the show's dark atmosphere. This is just a bleak, bleak show. There is little humor here, which makes the grim subject matter all the more harrowing. This is exactly what I was looking for in a TV show when Millenium premired, so I was very happy! Season Two would lighten the tone a bit, even bringing in The X-File's Jose Chung (played by Charles Nelson Riley)for a bit of comedy. Lance Henricksen's portrayl of Frank Black is what really pushes this show into the realm of great TV. Henriksen makes the character a belivable person, despite his gift. I highly recommend this show to fans of The X-Files, or the horror/suspense genre.Read full review

Millennium season 1
I am happy with the layout of the DVD's, the episodes are clean & the sound is well balanced. There are not many special features but if you love the series, I would highly recommend purchasing this DVD set!
My only complaint is that the packaging layout is terribly bland, and there are no picture booklets included. *sigh. But this does not stop my rating from being perfect!
