Struggle Within Captured
I got into Metallica after I seen the video "One" on MTV. I immediately purchased ...And Justice For All and was immediately impressed except for the fact you couldn't hear the bass guitar in the recordings. That's why they brought in Bob Rock, and their sound has benefitted to the tune of millions of dollars and stardom. I then went out and bought Ride The Lightning, Kill 'Em All, and Master of Puppets. What brutal guitar riffs! I now own all their studio albums plus a couple of live ones. I had seen A Year and a Half In the Year Of Metallica a few years back and I was impressed, but that seems like a B-movie compared to this one. Their brutal honesty (even though I think James Hetfield would have rather they not been quite as honest) shows that being in the multi-million dollar machine that is Metallica is not always glamorous and fun. Going through a time consuming search for a new bass player, James going through his alcohol rehab, and Lars confrontation with Dave Mustaine make this a must see movie for any music fan, whether you're a fan of Metallica or not. I bought this DVD for my boyfriend as part of his Valentine's Day gift. We had been looking high and low for this particular DVD, but were having no luck in the stores. He was very excited when he opened his gift and saw that I had located it:) He has already watched it, but I hope to watch it myelf in the future.

My Review of Some Kind of Monster
This is a great inside look at Metallica. It gives some insight into the music and lyrics of St. Anger. I would recommend it for anyone interested in Metallica.
